  1. I dont have this on a reliable source, but rumor floating around in this part of the country is that you got a low mileage (heard sub teens, aka below 13k) miles roadster in Monterey Blue. Someone said original sticker was a $460k+ car?!? Again, likely hearsay, but if so....CONGRATULATIONS!! Side note: where the fcuk is my car? Calling the cops.....
  2. Interestingly enough, its apparently for sale, go get it, so it doesn't leave the LP family!
  3. Let me know if you are still having the issue, I’m sure the 2 sensors being replaced and/or a relearn of the actuator will likely solve it. Or 3rd option, sell me your SV at a ‘its broken’ price and I’ll fix it and enjoy it for a few years. Jon
  4. The transmission has 2 sensors, oddly enough they are identical parts. They are cheap two, as they are Audi parts. Swap those with new ones and you should be ok. If that doesn’t do it, then I’d be worried you snapped of gears that those sensors use to read shaft speed. I know WAY more about this than most (including Lambo techs) as I blew my transmission in my 06 murci and I replaced it with an lp640 and the car did NOT like that because the gear ratios are different so it didnt like what it thought was improper shaft speeds. I solved it with a computer that adjusts the numbers for the shaft speed so the car is happy. My guess is its one of those sensors, again there is only 2. Hell I probably have a spare one in my garage. Not sure you want to do this BUT before i solved the problem correctly, I found TWO work arounds: 1. Put the car into ‘slippery when wet’ mode and it will ahift it at 3500 or so in each gear. 2. While it wont accept input from your paddle shifters on upshift, it sure will protect itself and as you come close to redline it will shift into next gear. Bet you didn’t know that . It doesn’t care about the sensors anymore, once you hit redline its gonna shift. Also once its shifted into secondif I recall correctly, all gears become available to you again UNTIL you show down and drop back into first. Then you have to pick options 1 or 2 again to get next gear. Hope this helps, been there, done that... but rest assured its solveable... I did it.
  5. Not gonna lie Fortis is hands down my favorite member on here and I have never met him. His success is one thing, but his perspective is always soooo spot on. I’ve never found anything he said to be idiotic or without merit. Can’t say that for the rest of you.... or even myself lol. Here is the thing. Life is short, I truly mean that, I swear just yesterday I was 11 years old dreaming about owning a Countach 5000s, today I am 45 and have owned 2 lambos and literally millions of dollars worth of cars (as have many on here). No car have I ever kept and until recently, none have ai ever profited from. I have never in all these years regretting a single sale. Sure it hurts to see a loved one go for a few days, but then you bounce right back and thing about the new love you are going to have with the new toy you bought. None of us lives forever so enjoy what you can now. For me, like women, when it comes to cars the more the marrier, try one out for a while, love it, enjoy it and when it doesn’t make your heart race like it used to.... replace it Last week I sold my Demon (for profit), my GTR (for a loss) and my Viper (Broke even), all calculated I got out with the same money I put into them as a whole about a year ago. So now I have a wad of cash begging to be soent and its my choice how I do it. I say take the money (like I did) and befin your next chapter in automotive romance! Jon
  6. I must admit, I love the banter between his signature and your comment lol. Ya know what, I was looking past the fact he had a Monterey Blue stick, I get so used to owning a Monterey Roadster, I forget just how special that color is. Very valid point, its MB AND Stick... if it was a convertible (aka Roadster) it would be my unicorn. Sadly no such car exists and so this is literally is my 2nd Favorite of all ‘Real’ Murcielagos. First ‘doesnt exist’ unicorn would be a SV LP670 stick in MB. I know its unpolite to ask numbers, so I wont ask, but if I was to guess $310-340k range?
  7. Aka, the airbag. The Murcielagos have weak 'clock springs' in the steering wheel that provides the contact to the airbag, if someone tried to adjust the steering wheel while the car was 'on' or 'running' that brief break in continuity in the airbag connection when the telecoping steering wheel is moved/adjusted sets a code, that can ONLY be removed with a TRUE Lamborghini diagnostic computer with the airbag module wire. Ask me how I know... lol... LITTERALLY HOURS BEFORE I sold my 2006 Murcielago, I had the NEW owner test driving the car, and I said 'lets adjust the steering wheel to your likeing' Car was running... SRS light triggered, and he looked at me like 'whats wrong with this car' lol.... fortunately I swore to him it had never happened before, and that I'd call my lambo tech (official one), and the lambo tech not only diagnosed the problem but also helped us to resolve it (since obviously he has the real computer), and 2 years later, and the problem has never reoccurred. IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENTS, DO THEM WHEN THE CAR IS OFF !!!! (You may not have made the adjustment, but the shop you took it into may have)
  8. I'm pretty sure everyone is going to tell him not to sell it. IT IS after all a stick LP640, which I cant remember the numbers, but its something like 27 in the US? or 27 in the world? or 47? I cant remember, but we all know its ultra rare. OK so that said, BEFORE the price hike occurred roughly what 2-3 years ago? I would NOT have taken a stick over a e-gear, even my old posts indicated this. BUT what I would do, is take the money and run. If he has the chance to 'profit' on the increased price of a manual, but get himself BACK into a murci with CASH in his pocket....I'd do it. Here is why, I sold my 06 murci and said I'd never own another, then after 6 months without one, I was DYING to get back into one. So I did... obviously. Now fast forward to about 6 months ago, I thought about selling my murci for a performante……… which I was advised on here NOT to do that.... and you know what, they were right... I see performantes and regular huricons (barely can tell them apart) in my town (yes we have a mixed bag of bout 10 right now in the area) and we usually attend some of the same 'car shows' or car events... and you know what happens when the murci shows up? All the other cars disappear (at least to the spectators). Even the Aventador has a problem drawing the same crowd a murci does... I think we can thank all the Rappers for making the Murcielago such an iconic car. At the end of the day, I don't think its so much about what drive train the car has, but that you either HAVE or DONT HAVE a Murcielago. I am not saying the other Lambo's out there aren't amazing, hell I am not even saying they aren't better.... I am saying... they aren't murcielagos and they haven't captured the hearts the world over like the Murcielago has. If you leave.... you will be back.
  9. We’ll have to disagree, I think every element of the cars come into consideration when they are evaluated against their siblings. Its like stick vs egear, 580hp vs 640hp, amazing brakes vs mediocre (removed inflammatory language if thats causing the issue) . I never brought up this point to create any hostility or a debate, simply brought up a less mechanically acceptable aspect of one of critical components that I think matters in evaluation. Thanks, Jon
  10. I’m not a fan of theirs, but this is EXACTLY what I was guessing was going to happen. Sadly he is probably going to get it with the current hype on stick murcielagos.
  11. I am your guy for this, hopefully you’ll trust I am not a Whiteout fan boy as I give honest feedback on what works and doesn’t work. 1. It sounds fantastic, it still reminds me of my LOC that I replaced it with, but it saves a good few pounds over that setup. Pretty sure however it does not shoot flames as no one has mentioned that while following me and I do a lot of group car stuff that someone would have said so. If you want flames you have to drop the primaries too. 2. I haven’t gotten a single engine code with this setup, no engine missfire and no CAT efficiency codes either. BUT if you remove the primaries to make those flames, good chance you will get a CAT code. Thanks, Jon
  12. You just got exposed to the very reason I cannot stand that guy.
  13. I have these on my car, and its the simplest, lightest, most effective secondary and muffler delete option out there.
  14. Either I wasn’t clear or you didn’t understand me, what I am saying is something we all know, retail sale of a car fetches more money then a private party sale. If Roy sells the car (or actually its current owner Chicago Motor cars) they will get more money for it than if I sold it myself. So while the costs to purchase it from the auction house would be the same the resale price would be more profitable to a retail store then a private party. So I was under the belief and proven right that a retail store bought it and will certainly be trying to get a nice profit off it. More than I could have gotten if I had bought it and done the same.
  15. inquiring minds want to know, did you buy it back?
  16. Short Asian Guy? Curious if its the same Phuc, I'm guessing it is. His wife is a dentist and he is a doctor?
  17. If you scroll up through prior posts you’ll see where I told whiteout no one wanted his high priced shit. LOL. So when I tell you this, you can know with certainty I am being 100% honest, and I love the silicone intake system, its badass! Its a legit performance increase and its noticeable in sound and acceleration. Its honestly the cheapest mod you can do to the murci with real gains. I make nothing off this, although I get credit for giving him a hard time and saying we needed a cheaper alternative . Yes, l worked with him to develop the kit, but I get zero royalties, and I bought all my own parts and then shared part numbers with him and he gave me a set of filters. I have about 3,000 miles on mine and never plan to go back, it’s a great FIRST mod OR Last mod to bring it all together. I made 581 hp to the wheels with this setup (look on my May 8th instagram to see the actual real time dyno video @ill_smo_q). Cheap power for a lambo is rare, here is your chance!
  18. Yeah and Roy was watching the auction so I am guessing he is high bidder? 280k purchase price for a retail sales guy is a good price, as he can mark it up another 100k and hold out until he gets it. As he did the verde ithica one. Private party wont get that much for it but they avoided excessive markup if they have been wanting a roadster, lp640, stick. Some interesting prices for sure in that auction, but it was too well publicized to have anyone steal anything too unique.
  19. Sorry the close distance between the LP670 and the LP640 is NO WHERE NEAR as HUGE of a gap between your cars stopping power and mine. The only thing we agreed to is that your car does still have the shitty brakes, congrats AND the generally least powerful motor of all the years. Congrats glad you like mediocrity in the lineup! I still absolutely believe that panic stopping in your car is death trap status compared to the MUCH improved 05+ brakes. Have a nice day, dont tailgate 05+ Murcielagos hahahah Jon
  20. We seemingly never agree, and I like that. We'll keep that going. I have owned an 06 and 09 with Ceramic Lambo Brakes, sorry your 04 would be part of my ass end if not my passenger if we both slammed them at the same time and you were behind me. I get you want to protect the reputation of your version, and that's acceptable, but trust me, they pale in comparison to the newer brakes put on the cars. At least I concede one thing, and that is that 04 does still have the worst brakes of the lineup, the 05 and up start getting the better ones. No internet myth, I bet your boy stig wasnt panic stopping the Murci in those track times silly. Those of us who have driven both can attest to the significant difference, but glad you're enjoying yours.
  21. If anyone’s words/opinion on the collectibility of Murcielagos are any more valuable than this mans, I sure don’t know who it would be! The list was on point with my evaluation until right when we fell into the non lp cars. Roy still wins but here is my problem with the bottom of the list: 02-03 have THE worst brakes of all murci years, death trap almost under extreme conditions, but they seemingly I think have stronger stock motors of the early generations, but ALL were stick so every car those years is guaranteed stick (so volume wise, more of these than any) 04-06 these were better brakes years, noticeably improved. These also started the egear years, so that means there was a mix of two transmissions, which makes these less likely to have stick, its not guaranteed liked 02-03, so less supply of sticks, better brakes, I move stick 04-06 over 02-03 Thanks, Jon
  22. Funny enough my buddy Moe txt’d me that he traded in his UGR aventador on one, and it arrives from Chicago this weekend or monday/Tuesday. He got a green one . Now that certainly doesn’t mean I’ll ever get to drive his on track, but I’m hoping I get to do a little more then drool on it I agree completely on track vs street, your assessment is literally same thing I concluded, it sounds like a popcorn maker in corsa is what I told people lol, on track its gonna be a beast for sure. I dominated the track 3-4 weeks ago at VIR with my ACR-E, I am certainly sure had this been there in a capable drivers hands, I’d have not been so dominant. I look forward to seeing one on track.
  23. Fortis, you and I are probably in different places financially lol, I’d have to wire brush my own tire marks out if I did that. Congrats on your success btw, always respected your car choices. That said these cars just work for me, each is so unique and unsimilar in how they achieve their performance and what they are good at, that none are a replacement for the others. As an owner of at 2 lambos and life time of admiration for them (started when I was 7) I get the mystique, presence and respect the lambo brand has, but I wouldn’t ever consider it as my single source provider of all my car needs. Its like women, I like many different nationalities/ethnicities as they all have unique driving styles and ride characteristics, which makes each endearing in their own way. Giving me a couple hours on track with the Performante probably wasn’t an option for this dealership lol.
  24. Lamborghini of the Carolinas, its been delivered now, so no more secrecy on it, but it went to UGR, they bought it. Lambo of the Carolinas has a pretty interesting street circuit track around their immediate area that leads right to Mexico. 😂😂
  25. Appreciate all the support folks, I was pretty hung up on having the fastest factory track car (which for all accounts was the ACR) then the Performante beat it soI thought that was the high water mark but saddly the Porsche GT2 supposedly eclipsed it. That and everyone’s feedback here woke me up to stop chasing track Unicorns when I have a decent group of Unicorns already. Drove the Viper and Lambo Today and I was disappointed in myself that I had considered them for sale. Neither would I ever be able to get back. The GTR is a commodity car lol, that I could live without, but glad I dont have to, as I just threw a set of Michelin Pilot Cup 2’s on it this week and the fun quotient has increased a good bit. Now if the Demon would hurry up and get here, I’ll be so car drunk I can’t possibly look at another car. Oh wait, it’s an addiction, its never satisfied, all any of us can ever hope to do is manage it. Again, genuinely appreciate everyone’s opinions/feedback, it definitely helped in my decision making process. Thanks! Jon
