You learn something every day!

I noticed this today, the redline of the car changes as it warms up. Pretty cool stuff!

When you start the car and start driving the redline is at 5,500 RPM's

After a couple of minutes it changes to 6,800 RPM's

After about 4 minutes it changes again to 8,500 RPM's

So I know max power output is at 8250 rpm, but what is the redline really. I always thought the aventador's redline was also 8250 rpm but from those pictures it certainly does look like its 8500

I can tell you it won't perform the extremely fast 50ms shifts in Corsa mode until it's fully warmed up either. They're more like a Sport mode shift until then. Not that those are very slow, they just feel softer... :)

Guest Dereiter

It is a great thing! I did not know it. Thank you for the information.

So the red line changes but I'd guess you could still rev to 8 something when cold unless the rev limiter is set to increase as the temp increases also.

That would be cool.

Huh? That's what he means. It shows you the redline at the lower RPM because that is where the rev limiter is. If you slam on the gas, it will just bounce off 5500.
