Most reports ive seen are stating he had no political or religious affiliation....that he "just snapped." Seems like a serious set up and plan to carry out for having "just snapped".

Girlfriend living with him since January. Pics of her on her Facebook that show her in the ME at a few points. They found her casino ID with him in the room.

 

Apparently they found the room so quickly because the smoke from the gun set off the rooms fire detector? I would have thought taht would flood the room with water setting off the sprinklers. They used a charge to enter the room but report says that he killed himself right before the breached the door.

Checked on a few friends and they are all safe, they were at the concert or had just left. Another friends husband is a cop there, he made it home safe. Two first responders (police) in the 50+ casualties.

 

Honestly, I don't get it anymore. HOw do you have such a great delta between folks that are packing ships to send supplies to Puerto Rico, to an unhinged mass murderer shooting innocent people at a country western concert???

Heard back from the wife of one of my friends, he's safe.

 

I have friends who play for Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Jason Aldean, all who were playing last night. They are all safe. Bunch of people have been taken to separate locations for eye witness accounts and interviewing.

 

I cannot believe this. I can't even watch the videos, starting making me literally sick to my stomach.

Smoke doesn't set sprinklers off, only heat does (or physically breaking the fusible element).

 

Not much else will heat a ceiling to 135/155F but a real fire.

Something isn't adding up...Only thing I could think of would be people in the room below or above making a report...but still seem a little too quickly pin-pointed

Smoke doesn't set sprinklers off, only heat does

 

Yep sprinklers have woods metal that melts at 70c°. But fire detector / fire alarm have americum241 or optical based system that responds to smoke.. Seems logical that that happened.

Just think about false alarms from the kitchen and if heavy gunfire could simulate that.

 

If that indeed happened, the rest is easy to pinpoint very fast from the fire alarm control panel. Probably some delay mentally to make the mental association between the shooting and that smoke alarm condition being the location of the active shooter.

 

The building alarms should not go off, just the sounder base on the detector. He probably wouldn't have realized he outed himself.

After running my shower for about 2 minutes, if the door is left open, it'll set my smoke alarm off in the next room if I don't have the door closed. Very sensitive, and I can't imagine the temperature of the condensation moving over is all that hot moving to the next room. Takes virtually nothing to set it off. So I don't doubt that particulates could set one off.

 

A lot of smoke detectors these days go off of particulates. Where I work we have a VESDA (Very early smoke detection alarm), and it goes off particulates. We don't even allow cardboard inside the secure rooms because kicking up dust and getting particulates in the air can set it off. Sealed rooms, dust free, with gargantuan, very fine bag filters.

 

So depending on the type of alarm, if an early warning system, it could set it off.
