sl55 Report post Posted November 2, 2016 :o EXCLUSIVE: Lamborghini To Unveil New Car In LA This Month Lamborghini won’t be attending the Los Angeles Auto Show this month, but it will be unveiling a new car in LA. Taking advantage of the media presence that will be in The Big Orange, Lamborghini will host a “special unveiling” at a private residence on the eve of the motor show. What that car will be remains under wraps. It will, however, be a “world premiere of the newest expression to emerge from Sant’#### Bolognese,” according to the invite CarBuzz received. It also describes the mystery car as an “international debut of pure, powerful performance,” perhaps an indication a high-po Huracan will be unveiled. Recent sightings of a more potent variant of the baby Lambo testing at the Nurburgring adds more weight to this argument. Lamborghini recently trademarked the name Huracan Performante, but that’s the name it used with the hi-po Gallardo Spyder. For the sake of speculation, we’ll wager that Lamborghini will unveil the Huracan Superleggera this month in LA, and save the Huracan Spyder Performance for Geneva next March. Other possibilities include the Lamborghini Urus SUV or a refreshed Aventador. We’ll know for sure in just two weeks’ time, and bring you shots from the private unveiling. In the meantime, we’ve knocked up a couple of renderings of what we think a leaner, meaner Huracan might look like. http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2016/11/1/EXCL...-Month-7736229/
Fortis Report post Posted November 2, 2016 That's very close to what the car will look like, someone who saw the car must've had a bit of input in doing the render

Fortis Report post Posted November 2, 2016 Not as aggressive as the SV but still looking pretty darn good. Looks very good, I think it will be a bit more aggressive than what these renders suggest. The other thing to note is that on the test car the rear splitter is opened behind the wheels but the render shows it closed, the rear design might be slightly different, also the Performante will have the obligatory door stripes which aren't shown on the render At this stage I'd say LamboCars renders are more accurate than the ones provided by carbuzz. LamboCARS Report post Posted November 2, 2016 I modified the three angles I did on the Huracan Superleggera ... which is probably called Huracan Performante now: Front view in Blu Cepheus and carbon fiber roof, mirrors, side sills, rear wing and front bumper: Side view in Blu Glauco: Rear view in Viola Mel: All with vents on top of the front fenders, outlet behind the front wheel and an intake in front of the rear wheel and new center lock wheels ... RobberBaron Report post Posted November 2, 2016 I can't wait to see this thing! The renderings already look stunning, the speculated performance is fantastic, etc. I am sure some LPers are on the short list to get one and am excited to start seeing people's specs. APB Report post Posted November 2, 2016 LA is for the LP580-2 Spyder. They are saving the big guns for next year. Also amazing renders as always, Lambocars!

Speed Demon Report post Posted November 2, 2016 There is a big difference between the two renders by Lambocars and that published by Carbuzz in the front bumper contours... I wonder if anyone in the know can attest to which the production car is closer to...
Supercar Ace Report post Posted November 2, 2016 There is a big difference between the two renders by Lambocars and that published by Carbuzz in the front bumper contours... Hopefully I get my wish
kingjr9000 Report post Posted November 3, 2016 Anyone have anymore info? Maybe about downforce, tech, weight, numbers? Anything new? Maybe something about those wheel well vents from post #374?
sl55 Report post Posted November 3, 2016 Anyone have anymore info? Maybe about downforce, tech, weight, numbers? Anything new? Maybe something about those wheel well vents from post #374? Nope. I tried to get info from my sales guy and his answer is "the owner viewed the car in Italy and it's amazing..." and that's about all I can get from him. I guess we have to wait until Geneva for more info.
Fortis Report post Posted November 3, 2016 Anyone have anymore info? Maybe about downforce, tech, weight, numbers? Anything new? Maybe something about those wheel well vents from post #374? I was told that the rear wing is quite trick, it has something which I don't think was attempted before.

LamboCARS Report post Posted November 3, 2016 I was told that LamboCars's front rendering is closer to reality. Thank you ... I have based my renders on this image of the test mule Looks pretty close I think, they could do a different paint scheme up front I guess. APB Report post Posted November 4, 2016 The wing is fixed, top-mounted: Unless the final product is something in a similar fashion to One:1, then it would be quite a trick.
Fortis Report post Posted November 4, 2016 If you look very closely there is something very interesting about the rear wing.
sl55 Report post Posted November 18, 2016 What do you guys think of this colour for the SL:
Fortis Report post Posted November 18, 2016 Honestly? It's boring, go for sometime wilder, the car will come with lots of exposed carbon and bronze/gold accents, you will need a color which accentuates those elements.
kingjr9000 Report post Posted November 18, 2016 New info on the name "Performante", why they chose it over "Superleggera", and the aero: Name: To make it "short", there is a company called "Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera srl" in Milano. The original company "Carrozzeria Touring" was founded in 1928. All about them can be read in wikipedia. In 2008 they started many files against companies in the automotive industry who used the name "Superleggera", of course Lamborghini was one of them. I just found them today (in German) and it was only one of the investors who started them. This year Lambo (or it's mother Audi) decided not to go further and will not use Superleggera anymore. I could not find anything if they have to pay back for using Superleggeraon the Gallardo. The lawyers from Labo/Audi then immediately trademarked "Performante" what has already been posted here. If they also trademark "Edizione Technica" is not yet clear. So the next version will for sure be called Performante regardless if it is a Coupé or Spyder. Features: Many pictures are around and the latest ones show some additional openings and different angles of the new wing. Behind this is the new active system that changes the angle to have less drag on high speeds but best possible downforce in turns. The system also includes variable active openings in the front. It seems that all this works very well on the Huracan Performante what resulted in very low lap times on the Ring. But they keep the secret well. Together with 640PS, more lightweight exhaust, many CF parts the Performante seems to become an expensive animal

Lamborghini tried to trademark 'Superleggera' on June 14, 2006 ... but that application was refused on Mai 23 2007. In March 2007 they trademarked both 'Gallardo Superleggera' and 'Murcielago Superleggera' ... both applications received opposition from Zeta Europe BV and Touring Superleggera Limited ... both oppositions were later withdrawn and the trademarks were registered in 2009 ... also note that 'Gallardo Superveloce' was registered in 2007 too. PCJR Report post Posted November 20, 2016 Not as aggressive as the SV but still looking pretty darn good. Talked to a dealer today that saw the car. He said the "Performance is extraordinary" Down side he said is that the back of the car is not drastically different than the current cars which really sucks!
