  1. So what is the wholesale value on this car? Say that one was to keep this car and it was appropriately repaired? 160-170?
  2. Good points, as per OP also. I still think 150k for a 10-20k 07 lp with service complete in around 12-18 months (I am not expecting to pay 150k for Ralph Lauren's consignment special order #001 at Ogara Coach etc.) I stand corrected on Veyron "base" but sang noir/SS I still feel will climb... Again my opinion, and time will tell. Also as OP stated, "one car a market does not make" However, one car is all it takes to achieve my goal of ownership. I leave you with 2 questions if I may: 1) What was total units of 07 Lp coupes? 2) What is the mean amount of miles on these cars? (if there is a data base for such a value) -Whisky
  3. Great points... Thank you for your insight... Slow Poke I was "trying" to be funny and I guess I failed miserably. I apologize if I offended you. Faiz
  4. The Murci is my dream car... I have followed it since inception... 15-18 months is my purchase timeline so forgive me if I am excited. I guess time will tell. 150k out the door not including operating costs is my goal. I guess I'll wait and see. -whisky
  5. Flood is a relative term... to me a flood is 5-15 cars. Base LP640's are not Reventon's /Versace Edition or SV's. Compared to these specific models I would state that the base LP640 will be had for 150k within 12-18 months and may never get back up like said models... My original point was such. In regards to the OP I don't quite know how to address you, I think Megan Fox's ass juice has poisoned your thoughts. The Veyron will be in Enzo/F40/Miura territory at some point in its life... The lp640, although a beautiful car already looks dated next to the LP-700, and was made in many more units compared to the three examples given. Opinions are like assholes everyone certainly has one as do I. Get back to sniffing Megan's butt crack thats the hiney you must be talking out of. -Whisky
  6. Point taken, but when the flood of 07's come off their lease etc... There will definitely be some 150K LP's out there. Maybe not on the floor of Ogara Coach, but in the private sector and certainly at auction. Also I remember a shark gray 6 speed LP selling for around 175K last year and then was back on the market for 200k. These cars are not Veyron's, they will depreciate unfortunately... I guess time will only tell. I assume that people in the market for an LP usually factor in the running costs of an exotic. If not it is a foolhardy proposition at best. -Whisky
  7. Extremely saddening to me... In this type of situation you really are in the Big Man's hands. It happens so quickly its unbelievable. I was caught in a cat fire in my Range Rover with my kids in the back... I was not unconscious but if I had hit my head (very likely in this Diablo scenario) who knows... May his family find peace in these dark times. -Whisky
  8. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p...mp;rdpage=thumb Not 08' but not salvaged or a dog either... I do suspect 07' Coupe to be at around 150k in the next 12-18 mos... -Whisky
  9. I did this one time on a vehicle that had steel cross drilled vented rotors, and had a huge problem with effective braking (i.e. I almost wrecked first time out) This was a SC Full Sized range rover and I thought I read somewhere that a certain temperature has to be reached for CC pads to be effective as they are so hard (effectively glass) and work only truly well when mated with CC rotors also. So to the previous poster, other than low dust and a squeal here and there have you noticed any improvement in actual braking performance? (I am assuming from your picture that your rotors are steel) Best, Whisky
  10. My ultimate dream car... Just love the Murcie Roadster....
