Destructo Report post Posted April 28, 2018 Honeycrisp preferably. All joking aside, my wife’s laptop is dying a slow painful death. She’s a MacBook Pro diehard and I’d love to surprise her, but my gosh they are pricey for what they are. Anyone know of any hook ups or place to find them discounted? Much appreciated. Go on Apple's website and go to the bottom and select shop for college. It varies in how much you get off with what you're getting. You could also shop on their site under the refurbished Mac's and they have some good price cuts there and they're still warrantied. https://www.apple.com/us-hed/shop https://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/specialdeals/mac

MHaynes772 Report post Posted April 29, 2018 Any connection at Apple won't do anything for you either. I used to work there and friendly and family discount is basically the same as the education discount. And the personal discount no one would ever give to someone else haha. It's like 25% OFF plus another $500 off. Here's a guide also when to buy. Apple's WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) is less than a month a half away where they'll be announcing new updates to the MacBook line. Just FYI, https://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#Mac
escobar Report post Posted April 30, 2018 FYI Apple's refurbished program is excellent. Once got the macbook pro for a few hundred bucks off - the unit was pretty much brand new and on it's third charge cycle. According to the counter staff, any unit that has been opened and turned on is considered used if returned .. even a few minutes later.
