  1. I was thinking much the same thing, however a majority of forum members partaking in the TX2KX and other street races appear to do so in a more controlled environment. I understand it is still street racing so it can only be "controlled" to a certain degree, however by going out in the early morning, to remote areas free of others, they are limiting the likelihood of injury to themselves, who are willing participants. Sure the track is always better, and I feel as though more and more folks are seeking half mile and roll on events as opposed to the street racing. I am not condoning street racing, but for better or worse, it has and likely always will be part of the modified car culture. Also, I would contend that the individuals who were unfortunately killed by this mustang driver, RIP, were willing participants and not completely innocent victims.
  2. Bradley's inability to possess the ball and make good decisions in the midfield plagued the US throughout this WC.
  3. A friend of mine has an 09 with a full Bellanger set-up and it sounds much better than stock. I have driven it a few times and it is definitely an experience unlike any other car I have had the pleasure of driving. Enjoy and be careful, it certainly commands respect on the street, so I can only imagine really pushing it at the track. I hope you can update us after a few track days in the ACR with a comparison to the GT3RS.
  4. On a plane now...great read prior to take off. RIP to all those on board that flight.
  5. The your job/not your job illustration is pretty amusing. That said, Hannibal has a point to saying, "That is fine please give us our money back". Despite our own economic hardships we continue to give and fund international programs. It is like an investment if you will. If you invest heavily in a company, you feel as though you have the right to influence and protect your interests.
  6. Not sure if they make them for the Aventador, however in many other applications people use resonated test pipes, especially if removing the primary or first set of cats IIRC. I would imagine an Aventador with non-resonated test pipes would be extremely loud which may be what you are after from the sound of it.
  7. I believe most ZR1s are still $80k+. I think the ZR1 may drop a bit once the new ZOH6/7 comes out as it has been reported to have a similar hp rating and possibly slightly better performance. Edit: Congrats on the car. Enjoy and take your time getting used to the car and the power.
  8. RIP. I never had the pleasure of meeting Ray, but I thoroughly enjoyed his presence on this forum and many stories of his kindness. It's deeply saddening that he had a young family that is left behind and to see this happen to an individual who was living life to the fullest.
  9. Haven't had any issues so far, however just last week I received and e-mail from Neiman Marcus stating that their system had been compromised and your information (CC only no SSN #s they know of) could have been accessed if you made a purchase between January 2013 and January 2014. They are offering a or year identity theft monitoring though which is nice.
  10. I was fortunate in that Neiman's was sold out of the pointy ones in her size, so I walked a down the mall to Saks who had the shoe I ended up getting and her friends say she will like better. Did you try calling their customer service? I started to call around looking for a bag for her Birthday and the bag was sold out everywhere. I got tired of calling around and just called LV's customer service who sourced the bag for me quickly. Not sure if Louboutin does this? I expected most designer brands would, however Gucci apparently does not. 7.5 seems to be a very popular size. This is what my girlfriend wears as well and many of the shoes in this size were sold out nationwide. The true motivation behind the time, thought and effort into the gifts. Just joking we all want to see our S/Os happy, but I mean if this is the result...lol
  11. My girlfriend has mentioned that she likes pointy shoes and has looked at/bought a few pairs of them. I figured I would be safe if I got her a pair and these have a bit of style. http://us.christianlouboutin.com/us_en/sho...orneille-3.html She also mentioned how she wants a wristlet/clutch/wallet so I got her something that fits all of the above. Gucci's customer service was disappointing as they would not even attempt to find the item and said they could only verify availability for merchandise on the website. The service from LV was much better as they located the bag (was sold out online and in all local stores) and put me through to the store to make the purchase when I got her Birthday gift. http://www.neimanmarcus.com/Gucci-Dice-Mic...63860065/p.prod Uncrate definitely has some cool stuff. I am thinking about ordering the Iradar. Anyone have any experience with it?
  12. +1. It was a let down for sure and the first post was on point as to why.
  13. That is a great idea and I have done the flowers with a note letting her know of dinner/evening plans, however the parental involvement is kind of a serious move IMO. Something you should do only after you're serious about the girl and a future between you two. Hopefully I'll be using this part of your idea soon. Also, in DC we have ÜBER which is like a cheap, easy to use, black car service which adds to the event and also allows for a more relaxing night, with more wine/shots without having to deal with a limo company or take a cab which is also a hassle. Hiking, wine tours, wine tastings, wine paired dinners, etc., are all sure hits. One thing you guys are kind of missing out on taking advantage of IMO, is being spontaneous. I don't know Sweden, so it may not help Batslow, but here in DC, NY and AC are pretty close, so a flight or drive is done relatively easily with no planning and will definitely set you apart in a woman's eyes/memory.
  14. You're basically arguing that they both had the right to use lethal force to defend their lives at this point. If this is the argument then GZ's lethal force was a lot more effective than Martin's lethal force and case closed. Not really sure what your point is? Also, Martin had no reason to fear for his life, escaped for four minutes, but chose to come back to GZ, demonstrating that he wanted to confront Zimmerman and did not fear for his life.
