Any owner of a Murci able to go check out a car I have my eye on? I am in North Carolina, so thats way to far to just pop in to see if its worthwhile. If it is, I'll have a pre purchase inspection done, and even fly in myself to buy in person.

Anyone in/around Mesa, AZ ??

Thanks!

Jon

Which Murcie are you looking at here? I have had two 2003 Murcie's and currently have a 2007 LP640. Their are a couple for sale locally right now. I strongly suggest you call Brian at SuperCar Specialist. He probably even knows the car already if locally owned. He is the man to do your PPI as well.

I'm having Ralph from Vividracing going to take a look, I'd be more then happy to have you as a backup if thats cool. Reason I wanted a Murci owner is because they are different from the Gallardo's. I feel the Gallardo's are better made to be honest, and so you really want to look at stuff as an owner of a Murci to see if its got any issues. Its like anything if you own a particular car, you can compare it to the one you have and see any variances. I'd pick a Murci owner over a Gallardo or Aventador owner, only because the Murci guy knows the ins and outs of the cars. Just wanted to explain that, as I dont want to look like I think the Murci is better then any other lambo, its just got its only things an owner would notice.

Great information, and having a PPI done is certainly on the 'to do' list IF an actual member/owner goes over there and checks it out and tells me its worth proceeding on. I'll gladly work with Brian to PPI the car once I am giving a green light to pursue it.

Again much appreciated, and this is why I reached out to the family :)

Charlie's right, Brian is the man and great to work with.

Agreed number three. Brian did flawless work on my car and is honest and trustworthy.

Not according to this guy Simon that has extensive experience with both:

I can look right here on THIS forum of owners who have in fact owned both, and seen my statement more then justified. Feel free to look for contradictory evidence, but I'll go with the people I have known on here for about 5 years now.

Glad you are enjoying yours.

I plan to go with the recommended guy, but curious, they had the clutch reading done by Vault Motorsports Group. Are they reputable group? Reason being I could just give them a call and ask their highlevel assessment of the car, since they already put their hands on it.

Basically I am trying to do as MUCH due diligence on the car as possible. I plan to pay cash, and cash is a little hard to get back if you encounter an issue with the car and the selling dealership isn't reputable. (Which all indications from their feedback on ebay and google is they are a solid dealership).

Thanks,

Jon

You've had 5!? That's awesome!

Going to guess it's this one. I saw it come up not too long ago and the price is incredibly low. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Murcie...em=191996494896

Only thing I can say (having lived in Scottsdale for a few years myself) is to be careful as there are a fair amount of exotic dealers there that buy / flip high end stuff with hidden issues. They get caught in scammy stuff, move their location and change their name then are back at it.

I would definitely have Supercar Specialist in Scottsdale do the PPI. If they give it the green light then pull the trigger, that is a great looking car and the price is killer!

Obviously if I wanted to share it Luxeous, I would have :/. Interestingly enough events occurred and I am close to closing a deal on your sister/brother Murcielago. I'll share details once I close the deal. I know the car, and the seller, we have agreed on price, and I have a flight to go pick it up Friday. AND its my UNICORN car to boot! (ok ok, minus the fact that its egear).

It wasn't lol! Until the owner of it saw my FB post about buying the black one you ratted me out on. So on facebook he made a comment so I sent him a message saying 'had to buy that one because you wont sell me yours'. I've literally asked to buy it for years. He FINALLY agreed!

Fingers crossed, I have to fly back to the midwest to take it home to the Carolinas :)

If it doesn't work out, I am literally going to be heartbroken :(

It is my unicorn!

Having owned 2 Murci's and 2 Gallardos... The Gallardo is definitely better built. Im willing to live with the nuances of the Murci in exchange for the look, sound and doors though. If you wanna drive hard, and fast, the Gallardo is the better car.
