DavidY Report post Posted March 21, 2009 If you don't like a post...don't bother posting a reply. How much did the setup run you? Who did the work? That is one thing that turned me off when I test drove the V8 vantage for a couple hours. It's underpowered as shit. You're better of buying an XKR and saving 20k or so. gtelesto Report post Posted March 21, 2009 Vantage V8 is one of the best looking front engine rear drive sports cars around, if you can get it to perform at the level of the Gallardo or F430 it would be a real winner IMHO. AM is doing it with the Vantage V12
limey Report post Posted March 22, 2009 Respect! The AM is one of my favourite cars, as a Kid living in England, it was the idol of many of my friends. We used to love those old Vantage cars, living not 10 minutes from Newport Pagnell, i used to see them from time to time driving around, lovely memories. My brother used to own the V600 Vantage, that thing was a ^($^%^^ brute, way over the top & monstreous amounts of Torque, My Dad currently owns the DB9 an it's a fantastic looking motor. The V12 Vanquish S is a car i would love to add in the garage. Conragts on the power you make, that is a hell of a job getting those numbers. LamboCharlotte Report post Posted March 24, 2009 Is this a MY '06-08 or the "new" Vantage for '09?? Aston has made several changes, including increase in displacement from 4.3 to 4.7 liters that bump up hp/torque in the '09 Vantage, not nearly close to these numbers but IMO where the vehicle should have been in '06 when it was introduced. Manufacturer's claim for '09 is about 420hp and 370 lb/ft of torque.

LamboCharlotte Report post Posted April 2, 2009 The individual who owns ESX motorsports came by our shop a couple months ago with the vehicle. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go for a ride, however a few people who I spoke with said the car is nothing short of impressive for what it is. Unfortunately from what I hear we will not see the Vantage RS (the Vantage w/ the V12) here stateside.

RedGTS Report post Posted April 14, 2009 An increase of 214rwhp (70% over stock) on 6.8 psi? Is that even possible?
RSturbo Report post Posted May 19, 2009 I love Aston Martin's. This is interesting to see because I had one here with the same kit on it and it wasn't running well, had to make a few changes to get it to run right and it put down right around 480whp on the dyno dynamics and had the same curve as your dyno run, AFR was 11.8 and climbed to 12.2 in the top rpm range. rmrmd1956 Report post Posted February 1, 2010 Now that its been on awhile are you still liking it? Yes, I'm still enjoying it. No problems and about 4-6K miles since the supercharger was put on.
