That is going to be one incredible car...and if you like that then you would like a 570 S since essentially the same body. under 2,800 lbs weight and 600 HP this car is going to be super impressive. I absolutely love mine and the dealership here. By far the best sports car I have owned.

Yes. Senna seats and suspension.

 

Pricing should start around $240 and a well-spec car around $275k.

 

This is one of the best looking machines I have ever seen. Really does it for me.

Hmm not bad.. A buddy of mine had the 570 and it stayed in the dealership more than his garage and he ended up dumping it.

Senna seats are an option. Just to correct you, it has the double wishbones from the 720S and 720S brakes, not Senna suspension. It's also still the super series non-hydraulic suspension and has anti roll bars. Exhaust flames come standard!

 

This will be a driver's car, probably more fun than a 675LT.

 

It has latest generation bespoke Trofeo R. Will be grippy

I dunno...they are blending to me in looks and it’s hard to keep up with how quickly they come up with new models every year. How do they do that? New company, faster than Lambo and Ferrari...

Seems like their styling team is still unsure on which direction are they heading towards. And one either fully hates them or loves them; there is no middle ground for it. Personally I am not a fan. They have quirky ergonomics and the sound is a give and take. They aren't put together that well either; definitely way below Lamborghini's QC.

 

This one seems to check the most boxes overall but I am still not sold. And their resale value is...well...let's just say "value" isn't part of Mac's vocabulary.

He’s also asking because it’s very difficult to ascertain it just by looking at a computer screen, once you tell him he’s an expert and will argue it with you until you get a nose bleed :rolleyes:

More like I've never heard of anyone ever having problems with it. Why don't you pitch in Fortis and explain it for all of us instead of being unconstructive?

Maaaaate! I know better than to argue with you LOL

 

It’s not about hearing it’s about experiencing, that’s the point you CONSTANTLY miss, don’t worry about what you hear, go and experience it yourself and if YOU have no issues with it then there is no issue and if that’s the case why would you care what a random guy on the internet tells you ?

 

My issue with you and 99% of the internet, for that matter, is that you are regurgitating information that you’ve heard and you sell it as fact or at least you try, because you have the “gift” of selling it as if you were actually there involved in the development of the item (but in fact the reality is that you’ve probably never even seen the thing you are talking about IRL) most inexperienced jump on your bandwagon further regurgitating it then we end up with incorrect info spreading like Ebola.

Those who genuinely want to rely on that info end up misinformed and that’s not cool IMO.

 

If you have 1st hand experience then I can accept what you are saying as your own opinion and that’s absolutely perfect because if I kind of like what I am hearing I will further explore it myself by approaching it hands on then formulating my own personal opinion helping me in the decision making process, the reason I am being “UNCONSTRUCTIVE” is because I do not have 1st hand experience and I do not want to feed you or anyone else a bunch of BS.

 

If I went out there and flapped my gums like 99% of the internet “experts” do without first hand knowledge I’d have a huge sense of guilt for possibly negatively influencing someone’s opinion and I could not accept that.

My question was for VCR. You added absolutely nothing to this thread, and I'm genuinely curious as to what the ergonomic quirkiness is. Is he referring to paddle position or size, switch placement, seat design, pedal placement. What? Would be courteous to give a straight answer. PS, I was completely right about the GT2RS as it was obvious to everyone who read about that car and had knowledge of the Cup 2R tire. I try to stay as far from subjective opinions as possible. The vast majority of what I post is regarding objective data. This VCR statement really intrigues me though. It's something I haven't heard in over 4 years of paying attention to McLaren.

 

Quirky doesn't even necessarily mean bad.

You’ve never “heard” of anyone? :shock: :lol2: You are slipping! You didn’t experience it yourself? At any rate, by now we know what makes you tick and in case anyone doesn’t Fortis had filled in the gap already. Futile on my part to start any ping-pong with you so say whatever you want; doesn’t impact me. Driven a few Macs and no plans on getting one anytime soon.

I'm not qualified to make statements about ergonomics other than I think the seats are nice and the view out front is excellent. I don't have any issue with switchgear placement either. But continue on shitting on things and people without furthering the value of this thread. I have no idea what the Senna seats are like though. Maybe you do... Do you not like the steering wheel shape or adjustment? Pedal placement? Just say it. I have no idea

Why don’t you tell us a bit about you, what experiences do you have and why should I take seriously what you post? What do you drive, what have you driven in the past, some hands on stuff Build some credibility first, come on let’s hear it!

You truly don’t know when to quit, sitting in one and driving in one at speed on various roads and conditions isn’t anywhere near the same thing, how can you judge placement of vital items without experiencing it with the distraction of DRIVING?

 

VCR spent hours around the Senna, I will let him tell you about it if he wants to LOL

:lol2: :lol2: I did say I wasn't going to engage but your post above is just too hilarious to ignore so I'll make an exception. Car dealerships throughout the world, derphurf had just redefined your industry's standard. From now on, "test-drive" would no longer be necessary; instead, please offer test-sit and if the potential client finds nothing wrong with his seat time, start preparing a sales contract please. Demo cars would no longer accumulate mileage and get driven the daylight out of them. Win-win for all!

Go do more test-sit in other cars and you just might discover what I meant. And quirky is exactly the word; did I say it's bad or good? You took the word by your own interpretation and argued against it. And whether I contribute to this thread or not is neither for you to judge nor do I care even if you are judging.

Back to the car...I actually like it! The aero and exhaust (even if it's lifted from the 918) really makes this a great looking car. I have no doubt it will be a great track car with almost Performante levels of performance. It will never sound as good or have the Lambo presence, that's a given--I never get tired of hearing my Performante roar to life or the drive. The Perf is in a league on its own.

 

The 600LT strikes me as a direct competitor to the GT3RS. Both are great cars but it's a matter of taste. Do you want the German scalpel or British razor? Value aside, I think the 600LT wins my vote. Of course, I would need to drive both to make a fair comparison :icon_mrgreen: I think the RS may be a touch quicker on some tracks and slower on others. What I have little doubt about is that in straight line, the RS is going to get walked. Looks are subjective too but Mac wins this contest hands down. Also, the Porsche GT market here in the States is a little crazy now too. They're fetching over MSRP which makes the RS proposition less appealing. It's a great car but not worth a 30-50K premium.

 

So, I may be placing a deposit on the LT. I think it would be a good stablemate for the Performante. McLaren is maturing quickly and doing a nice job with their line up. They are making the other manufacturers compete at a higher level, which is good for all of us.

The mclaren dealer in Houston said they’re taking $10k USD deposits to get on the list and then if you receive an allocation they want another $10k. First deposit is fully refundable if you don’t get a spot. The car piqued my interest! It’s exciting to look at.
