  1. This is gorgeous! Do you know whose bumper it is?
  2. Thanks I was told to keep to the F by some parts suppliers too. Perhaps they are just playing it safe?
  3. Thanks so much for the info, Swif I presume what you call "throw out bearing" is the same as what some others call "clutch release bearing" or "thrust bearing"? Lambo part number 086141671D? How would I know if that needs to be changed? What are the signs? Or is it best just to do it since it is at a hard to reach location and will break or wear out sooner or later? Also, there is now a G version of the clutch. Will it fit my 07?
  4. My 07 egear with 30,000km, 19,000mi, reads 19+% left. Does the clutch from factory come with a new flywheel? Is it necessary to order the flywheel and any other part when I order the parts? Is the F series clutch really "good enough" to not consider sintered or Kevlar alternatives? I am not using the local agent workshop.
  5. I am also planning to change the clutch on my 07 egear with 30,000km, approximate 19,000mi. OBD reads 19+% left. So this is timely. Can anyone enlighten me on what sintered clutch? Is it an option available from Lambo? If so, what is the part number? Has anyone have experience with Sean of Hi Tech Exotic Racing in Van Nuys, Ca.? He makes Kevlar clutch and offers a complete assembly including flywheel that has been balanced. There was some talk elsewhere some years ago, but have not been able to find recent discussions on this.
  6. FYI all RMs are made by AP, save for RM5 & RM10. The latest G and H series movements for ROO all sound horrendous. Try winding them and hear its gears grinding against each other and totally not weight balanced. Sad.
  7. Fabspeed exhaust for Gallardo is literally a straight hollow CF tube. It was loud. Very LOUD. It sounds orgasmic pass 5000rpm. Almost F1 type high pitched howl. Problem was it gave zero back pressure and that made 1st gear difficult to engage at lower revs. With that came the CELs, which is an irritation but not as bad as making so much noise yet going no where. Totally not my style. I prefer others hear me after I've pass; not pass me while I growl. But that's just me.
  8. Wow! I'm sure glad I caught this in time. I had Fabspeeds which threw out my low end torque with the total loss of back pressure and gave me CELs left right and centre while making me look like a tool pottering around town. All noise and no go. I was contemplating QS because the agent here told me none of the ones he installed had these problems. He didn't mention about this part. Thanks guys.
  9. Now that's cool! Congrats!
  10. I am quite sure the SL is 100kg lighter than the 07 G. At least for the rest of the world. I notice that the US version did not get the CF seats and was not as stripped down. This may account for the discrepancy.
  11. I can say that the front bumper is totally different from the pic here. Also, since the 560 -40kg and the old SL -100kg from the G, a -70kg saving on the new car would put it -10kg against the old, no? But that shouldn't be the only point because the power is now +30 over the old SL, so the weight to power ratio is much better. I would say to anyone interested and already has a 560-4 to just change the seats to Carbon Fiber and rip out the Multi-Media Console. You've just save 50kg easy. Then get DMS or some other tuner to re-tune your ECU to get at lease 30HP more. You've now got yourself a SL fighter. But if looks are what you're after, then maybe get the new SL.
  12. Someone didn't sign a non-disclosure. *wink*
  13. Made us all sign a non-disclosure b4 allowed in. It looks visually different from stock 560.
