Fans not switching off on SV

The cooling fans not only are not cycling anymore, they stay on once the engine is switched off. I have to turn the main power switch off to make them switch off.

When I turn the switch back on, they stay off.

I disconnected the thermal switch when they were running. It didn't switch them off.

I disconnected the air con compressor to see if it causes the problem. No effect.

Any ideas before I start taking her apart tomorrow?

Sounds like a simple sticking relay - find the relay that powers the fans and switch it with one that works, would be the first step I would try.

Each fan has it's on relay. There is no way both relays would die at the same time.

Fans are at the rear of the car, each side behind the bumper - surprised you couldn't find them with the noise they make.

I actually have the opposite behaviour - when I turn off the engine, the fans stop immediately even when its hot, and will not restart until the engine is started

The fans aren't suppose to run with the engine off, no matter how hot. As to the original question, I have no idea.

I had a car that did this as well. To the point it drained the battery. While not a Lamborghini, it was a Mini Cooper actually. The issue was the steering pump cooling fan. And it was a weird trip to get it solved. Temp solution, find the fuse or relay, but you might Have to dig a little more too.
