Short vid I made of the murci yesterday. Such a fun car to take out and drive.

Nice video.

Definitely bizarre that you haven't been able to sell it considering the 6-speed, the maintenance, and the price.

Depressing as a fellow gen-1 6-speed owner.

What do you think is going on?

I really have no idea. I have had a lot of interest from Canada, but the conversion rate and duty taxes are just too much.

It's seriously a very nice clean car. I just replaced the front brake ducting. I am taking the car to Makes and Models to have it looked over so there is a 3rd party inspection over just my personal inspection.

I took the tint of the rear tail lights..I actually love the original tail lights of the early murcielago. Reminds me so much of a countach for some reason.

It is strange.

My guess is that it would help if you had OEM wheels on the car. The wheels on there now make the car look very modded. Maybe that scared off buyers. And I think your comment about TCS in your video could be related to the wheels. With my OEM wheels and tires, the TCS never intrudes and I never feel the need to shut it off.

When I had the black 02 with stock wheels it did the same thing. We have a lot of little bumps in the roads near me though and any skip in the wheel sends the TCS into action. So I've gotten used to turning it off. Imo it is a dangerous setup. If you were in a tight corner and the wheels slipped a little and the TCS kicked in and cut power as dramatically as it does, it would through the car into a spin. Not save it from one.

I do agree about the wheels. The car really isn't modded at all other than the typical exhaust, but it makes it look that way. I have also taken off the tint on the rear tail lights.. I love the original look of the tail lights.

IMG_0060.JPGI never had any TCS light or problem in regarding to after market wheels 19x8.5/20x13 as picture here my old 04 Murci.

Maybe on your setup the ratio is more correct.

I really don't know.

But I do know that the TCS has never come on in my car despite driving is all sorts of weather conditions, driving styles and road conditions. Maybe they did something different with the TCS in 2004 since they did change a number of things that year and that's when they started the e-gear.

You could probably sell those wheels for more that you could buy a set of OEM rims. If that would make it sell faster and for more money, it would be worth it.

I've actually looked into it.

I have heard of gated sub 20k milers going for 135k RETAIL so this at 150 does seem expensive.

That would be a great price! Where did you see that? Any stories on these cars? Lots of Murci's with stories, so those don't count.

I havent heard of a good clean car under 20k miles selling for that. I know there have been a couple rough cars change hands for that.
