  1. Maybe they assume that you would replace the bolts with the bushings? Did you measure any new factory bolts to see if they were ten thou thicker also? Just a thought. Either way not great having two different specs with the same part #. Thanks for getting me to think everything out first. There is NO way you can use a larger bolt, as the hole in the frame is a very tight fit. Like maybe .0015. Any movement there and your lower control arm would be able to move, not good. GeorgeV12
  2. If you are rebuilding the front end of the Countach and want to replace the 5109529 bush/insert, I would not use the new 5109529 that you get from the factory. See the pics. 3rd one shows size of the bolt OD, next the old type bush ID. As you can see there is around .0015-.002 difference. Pic 1 and 2 show new bush and old bush. The new 5109529 is around .010 larger on the ID. This would allow the suspension to change camber, toe and caster, as you drive the car. I do not think this is good for a car that can reach speeds in the 150 +++ range. ID of original bush is right at .665, ID of new bush right at .676. Just food for thought. Georgev12
  3. Yesterday I posted a request for help, finding sources to rebuild MCs and Boosters. Seems the mods do not want me to ask for help, as my post was DEL. If you guys don't want a 75 year old 100 % DAV with over 35 years knowledge in Lamborghini and having owned 11 Countach, a 350 GT, 400GT, Miura #3, Espada, Jarama S, now if you do not want that knowledge here, just have the BALLS to say so. Don't just hide behind your computer and DEL my posts. I don't really see any mod here with the knowledge I have or the willingness to help for free as I do. I wonder how many of the mods could build a Lambo V12, or have owned 11 Countach. Just thought I would ask. Georgev12
  4. Checking out Ebay last night, as I usually do, looking for Lamborghini stuff. Found a seller selling a number of items that are Lamborghini related. Things like new Marelli distributor cap, New Marelli rotor, New Cavis wires for Espada/Jarama, new Marelli distributor points. The big thing I saw there was the Burtoni MSD Countach ignition system, it is new with directions. I have no use for any of these, but thought others might want to look. The seller is jbjagv12. I found that typing in that, you can see all they have to sell. Hope this helps someone. Georgev12
  5. Friend let me know he wants to sell his 87 Countach, suppose to have around 2000 miles on it. He is asking 350K PM me and I will give anyone interested, his contact. GeorgeV12
  6. If all goes well, in the next week or so, I will have an 88 1/2 less than 5000 miles ONE owner Countach for sale. Waiting on more info for car and a price. GerogeV12
  7. I have a set of those pipes, from Quicksilver bought for a 98 SV, but car was sold before they were used. $815.00 plus postage. GerogeV12
  8. Looking for Mike Maliszewski, he owns a DD black Countach, lives in NH a PHD. Anyone knowing anything about him, where he is or how he is. Since the big snow storm in that area he has disappeared, we used to email about once a week, but emails to him go unanswered. Anyone knowing anything would be appreciated. GeorgeV12
  9. Darn it, just another setback. The special crank that I had done, seems the snout where the gear is, is not true. It is out .010, so that ain't gonna work. Off the crank specialist, whatever it takes. On another note, I am also building a 5000S engine, torqued all main 12 mm studs was torquing the 8 mm studs and the last 2 pulled. Only takes 20 ft lb on them and they pulled. Must be just not my last few days. Then again the 5000S engine had been worked on by people who had or have no idea what a torque wrench is, much less how to use one. Oh well the sun is shining and it is warmer, so all cannot be bad. 10. What about the bogus bumper assy? Fitting it up is will be a challenge. The Euro type bumper is stock, plan on maybe 30 hours to fit. You need to keep in mind NO 2 Countach cars are really alike. Took me around 25 hours to fit mine. All the bumpers I have ever seen look just like that. GeorgeV12
