FrankD Report post Posted June 1, 2017 I was wondering if anyone knows this car or the owner. eBay item number:322539040185 Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. Oro Adonis.......located in CT. I reached out to the owner to see if I could make an appointment to see the car if it didn't sell since there was only a day left in the original auction. The guy acted like I was pissing in his corn flakes. I explained I couldn't just drop everything and drive 3 1/2 hours to see the car. I wasn't trying to low ball him or undercut his auction.......he came off like a real doucebag.....may be a good guy otherwise but we are not on the best terms right now. If anyone can offer insight, I'd appreciate it. Thanks Frankd
Chipster Report post Posted June 1, 2017 Seller is only making the process worse on himself acting like that. I don't have any info but I did see that one.
Assman Report post Posted June 1, 2017 Damnit I had a long post that got erased. Here's a short post This car was the first Murcie I ever drove. At the time it was priced higher than I could afford. It was repo'd in about 2008 and the top did not come with it. It was mentioned in a thread here a year or two ago and that thread said he owners at the time was kind of a jerk. Not sure if same guy. At the time the ask was ~130k. It looks like the tires were replaced because for many years it had pirellis w red lettering an a big chunk missing from one of the rear sidewalls. One of my local friends, gmendoza, has a car in the same color and it looks amazing. Good luck Frank.

Thanks for the info.......I have never seen that color in person so I'm not sure if its a positive or negative. The guy told me to get an inspection service to look at the car and buy it sight unseen...........I don't know of an inspection service I would trust and with the rare color, I'd have to see it in person. Once the guy said I couldn't afford it I was a bit turned off......

I think he had trouble telling tire kickers from real buyers.
rushdriven Report post Posted June 2, 2017 Thanks for the info.......I have never seen that color in person so I'm not sure if its a positive or negative. The guy told me to get an inspection service to look at the car and buy it sight unseen...........I don't know of an inspection service I would trust and with the rare color, I'd have to see it in person. Once the guy said I couldn't afford it I was a bit turned off...... I have seen quite a few Murci's in that color. I quite like the color but everyone is different. It's gold - when the sun is on it the color looks more orange. I would think you should be able to tell in pictures if you like the color enough to go look at it or have an inspection done. I too would be turned off by someone telling me I couldn't afford it. Not that I'm sticking up for the guy, but he's probably gotten a lot of calls and has to weed people out. I'm sure many exotic dealers have told potential customers they can't afford a car when they can.... If it is a car you think you'd want to own - pursue it! VCR Report post Posted June 2, 2017 For Oro Adonis, I would suggest you see the car in the real first. It is basically gold but under a bright sun, it's metallic orange and under artificial lighting, it's like a metallic tan. It's one of those colours that you either love or hate. Keep in mind also that colour is next to impossible to touch up correctly so if you see a lot of tiny chips, a respray is for sure and who knows how wide an area needs to be done in order to blend properly. IMO, personal visual inspection is mandatory for that colour.
Assman Report post Posted June 2, 2017 Completely agree about the color. It changes a lot depending on the light. In bright light it's amazing. Here's a pic of gmendoza's. https://instagram.com/p/BUX0erOAItf/ https://instagram.com/p/BUXz28QgaeH/ Sorry about the link. The pic poster seems to be broken. megachad Report post Posted June 2, 2017 I would say this. He probably knows its priced well and he basically wants someone to purchase it on ebay as is without seeing it. He doesn't sound like the type of guy that wants to have a conversation about the car.. too bad.

megachad Report post Posted June 3, 2017 Lol, it has a new clutch too doesn't it? Its not brand new, but id bet it has 70% life left. Most miles on this car, 20k of them, are from the last 2.5 years or so. Mostly freeway miles.

ocean Report post Posted June 7, 2017 Seller is probably way past tired trying to sell his Lambos...he should just consign it if he doesn't want to deal with legitimate questions. www.ebay.com/itm/221865701486 www.ebay.com/itm/222523873850 www.ebay.com/itm/222523890639 www.ebay.com/itm/222523994747 www.ebay.com/itm/222523995306 www.ebay.com/itm/222523995794 www.ebay.com/itm/322529116236 www.ebay.com/itm/322539040185 www.ebay.com/itm/322540169891 www.lp112.com/Lamborghini/Detail.asp?Model=Murcielago&Version=Roadster&ChassisNumber=ZHWBU26M55LA01647

There are ways to to weed out tire kickers...............someone who goes thru the bother of running a car fax, learns the history of the car, is a professional and has owned exotics deserves a least a modicum of respect. I just sold my 360 and I had to deal with alot of would be buyers before it finally sold...../..just the nature of the beast............
