LPDADDY Report post Posted April 22, 2015 Even less expensive than the 570, new entry point car. Should do wonders to confuse buyers some more and kill resale on existing cars.
sprite Report post Posted April 22, 2015 From what I gather they are supposed to compete with the Porsche Turbo and Porsche Turbo S. Personally I'll be keeping my 12C.
Fortis Report post Posted April 22, 2015 They are basically the same, every single one of them, this is getting close to Gallardo special editions ridiculousness.
TRANSAMERA Report post Posted April 22, 2015 I wrote in the other thread they would release two models, the 540 was launced at the same time, but not showed to the public. Basically less carbonbits, less HP and more comfort. They are targeting China with that model.
sonnythebull Report post Posted April 22, 2015 The 570 will be great track cars once the depreciation hits hard
ATL_ Report post Posted April 22, 2015 Bring it on. I need some serious depreciation on the 650s before I can daily one!
kinnsella Report post Posted April 22, 2015 Bring it on. I need some serious depreciation on the 650s before I can daily one! You got to give it to Mc Laren, at least they are consistent.

JohnN Report post Posted April 24, 2015 Should do wonders to confuse buyers some more and kill resale on existing cars. Yes. That's why I am waiting. Anyone know if the 540c will definitely be available in the states and how much?
RedGTS Report post Posted October 22, 2015 Bring it on. I need some serious depreciation on the 650s before I can daily one! Just saw a '15 650s with 5k miles and $342k sticker for $222k. Brutal.
SV-N-IT Report post Posted October 22, 2015 Just saw a '15 650s with 5k miles and $342k sticker for $222k. Brutal. that's a great deal and the best bang for the buck period!
RedGTS Report post Posted October 22, 2015 that's a great deal and the best bang for the buck period! I tend to agree but wonder how close to the bottom that is (or if McLarens have a bottom)? Very hard to say with some nice 12C's down to $150k and the newer, less expensive models on the way.
ATL_ Report post Posted October 22, 2015 Just saw a '15 650s with 5k miles and $342k sticker for $222k. Brutal. The trouble there is that the new car will still be less expensive and not much less, in terms of performance. All you are really giving up is the convertible factor, while gaining a better / more refined (arguably) technology and aesthetics package. Makes me wonder if virtually all used McLarens are going to compress into a narrow band about $20-30k wide like all used GTR's have. Might be a bit wider than that because McLarens are much more expensive cars to start with and there are several "different" models involved now, but I don't think I'd want to be holding a McLaren very long at over $200k (other than maybe a P1). redroadster2 Report post Posted October 22, 2015 Guys the 540 is not a new model, it is a derivative of 570 for the Asian market mainly due to their local regulations on imports etc... It is not a new car. The US and Europe will not have this car.

IanMan Report post Posted October 23, 2015 I feel like these are great cars but the styling has never done anything for me and every time I've seen them in person, it 1.) gave me the impression that I'd have to call NASA to come work on it for any little issue (based on the appearance of lack of access to most parts on the car) and 2.) I feel like getting parts would be next to impossible.

HannibalACP82 Report post Posted October 23, 2015 I don't even feel bad anymore for Mac owners. At this point you have to know you are going to get clowned on and your car is going to be worth a super value meal 6 months later. djantlive Report post Posted October 24, 2015 lol nicely put Here is McLaren's product plan 2016 will have a 520 model, followed by a 499 by September, then rumors on a 475 by November 2017 475 on the market, March will have 450, then 425 by September, and 399 in Dec0 lember seriously, most 12c used owners are GTR owners. i prefer my 11 year old Gallardo to a 2017 570. the 570 looks good and would be a good value compare to huracan. but it does not look like a full on supercar.
