I took the Warriors championship odds when they were down 3-1, because those were the best odds you had all year. I got them at 15:1 last year, couldn't run it back this year because the payout was little to none.

Going to be a good game tonight, I cannot wait! IMO, too much pressure on OKC, they won't be able to do it. If Russ and Durant don't choke, their role players will, and they can't win without their role players, even with Durant/Wess going for 40. That arena is going to be LOUD.

what were the odds at 3-1?

I can't predict anything for tonight- anything can happen! Cheering for GSW though, just something I don't like about OKC...they can't wash away the 'we're almost as good as you think' stink.

A little over 1:3. Actually Westbrook was my favorite player not on the warriors until his curry fiasco. I don't want to see an okc/cle finals because I'm not a LeBron fan and LeBron owns KD.

Looking good so far. 3rd quarter adjustments will be interesting. Warriors look terrible but are getting their rhythm.

Another tale of the tape:

OKC "dominates" the game in the trenches but has little to show for it.

They're totally not built to score in bunches, especially off 3 pointers.

Really hard to stop Curry and Thomson when they are on fire....how many times were Adams or Durant in their face when they made those 3s? Crazy.

OKC is probably going to be accused of having Durant and/or Westbrook choke, but it could just be that their coach doesn't rein in the game plan and/or these players well enough in crunch time. One of the commentators were saying how they were playing desperate and with bad body language down by 1, and it was true.

Based on the dominant games 3 and 4 by OKC, perhaps GSW was exposed.....but they just showed us why they deserved to win 73 games this season. They played D and got production from Green, Iguadola, Speights, etc. when they needed it.

Do you think this version of okc as we know it is finished or do you think they'll be back much the same next year?

It works..new coach was good..i think they give it another go. Also allows for nice contract structure set up with 1 year sign for KD.

I have no idea why they took Adam's out. Sure, he wasn't doing a good job guarding Curry on the switch, but he's been hitting those shots over everyone the entire year and there is nothing you can do about it. With Adam's in, they were killing the boards and getting rebounds, he had like 18 points in the paint I believe. When OKC decided to play small ball against the Warriors as a last resort was their true downfall.

Durant showed up. Warriors stacked the paint and Westbrook had to rely on his midrange jumper, which is garbage, to survive...he didnt have a good game not being able to drive inside.

As soon as I saw them yelling at each other on the bench, I knew they were frustrated, knew it was over. I don't think GSW was "exposed" but it seems like they didn't show up to play. Seemed like they weren't "in it". Being down 3-1 and the Westbrook comment gave them all the motivation they needed imo.

You can also tell Curry is injured because of his lateral movements, he doesn't look the same. It seemed like the OKC coach was no longer dictating the play and it was all on Durant trying to take over towards the end. Great series!

Do you think this version of okc as we know it is finished or do you think they'll be back much the same next year?

I think they will be back the same next year, maybe even a little better. They look really good! If their role players (Waiters, Roberson) didn't choke their shots, OKC could have won that game 7.

That's all dependent on Durant. It's hard to tell if he will go or stay, but it seems like he will stay. It is getting to the point where his legacy is all about scoring and no rings, so if he let's that get to him, we might see him in Miami IMO. If he was smart, he would sign to GSW. Fits in perfect, and that team would be a dynasty for years to come. But, I don't think he respects Curry, a lot of players don't, so I don't see that happening

Lots of free agent's coming up, going to be an exciting off season.

It is really easy to get discouraged and start being annoyed when guys on the other team are lighting up 3s in your face... OKC tried, Adams on the bench was a bad call, besides that, GSW just started doing GSW shooting and there's nothing you can do, 73-9

This Finals is going to be EPIC.

No one gave credit to the Warriors last season. Well, here we go. Historic season. Everyone "healthy". Rematch, redemption time. Both teams want each other, badly.

If LeBron loses to Curry 2 times in a row, he is the new king of the NBA. Series will be epic, I can see it going 7 games.

I'll be glad when all this is over, I've had no life during the playoffs :lol2: .

Basketball is the only sport I watch, I've been locked in to pretty much every game.

I think you are living on a different planet. Everyone praised the Warriors and were genuinely happy for them.

What are you talking about? Everyone made excuses last year, if love was healthy, if Irving was healthy etc.

I'm going to be honest here, I've always considered myself a Kobe fan. I could NEVER watch basketball without Kobe, but this Warriors team has completely changed that. They actually make it fun to watch. I can't help but root for them. That was one hell of a series.

:headbang:

How can you not? The team is mostly all draft picks from 2009 on and no one player was above a 7th pick. On the other hand, you have LeBron James, who never has enough help  .

Stopped watching the NBA in the Kobe/LeBron era...not a fan of either player. Warriors got my attention and I started watching them again in 2010-2011.

Nose bleeds are going for $800/each to the finals @ Oracle. Think I'll watch this one from home again. Always enjoy it more on TV.

what were the odds at 3-1?

EDIT. Odds were 3:1, not 1:3...been bugging me! :icon_mrgreen:

I've had this thought yesterday as I was falling asleep - you said it, this is going to be insane. Lebron's revenge. Clevland going apeshit, Love's redemption, Kyrie vs Steph, two offense oriented guards who don't play much D. (although Curry got much better methinks after Russ). One thing to watch for - JR smith vs Klay. JR thinks he can shoot.... but he is streaky. If Klay gets him in a toe-to-toe, he will never win, and possibly lose it for the Cavs. This series is going to be awesome.

Call me crazy but I would like the prodigal son bring championship to Cleveland.

I don't. Not from LeBron at least. He left the team. The fan's hated him. Now, he comes back, tries to run the organization, and those same fans root for him? If he loses again, I would't be surprised if he throws this team under the bus and leaves...again.

Well, Lue said that they are going to try to beat GSW by playing their own game. I'm thinking, that he thinks, that GSW is too worn down at this point, and is going to try to steal game 1 by playing at a fast pace for the kill. Does he know how good the Warriors are in transition?

They went to a 6 game series with TOR . Plus, TOR has no defense. Cavs are getting their first legit good match up of the post season. Kyrie, Love, JR, they are all spotty post season players, at best. Don't think they will be dropping 30+ against Warriors defense. Lebron will get his, but not so sure about everyone else.

Has anyone noticed how fucked up Lebron's hair is? I've been told that he's transplanted pubic hair to his head.
