  1. Still here too occasionally. Really struggle to find old content. Lots of action in the UK on Pistonheads, and I bought an FF too, so hanging around with those fellas aswell...
  2. How do we even find all of the old stuff. !?!? I do wonder about Fortis' house from time to time, and those roller on the sliding roof. Did I miss the announcement to the changes here?!? I've not been able to work it all out for a couple of years...
  3. I had this on mine. The rubber pipes had gone a bit hard over time (fifteen years!!!), and the OEM crimp clip had relaxed. I took the reservoir out, cut 1/2 inch from the end of flow and return hoses and refitted with aftermarket worm drive hose clamps. Whilst the thing was out of the way, I degreased the firewall and removed all trace of the fluid that wept out. I got some narrow stainless clamps from a boat shop. Refitted, topped up a cupful of fluid and all's good.
  4. Swinging both ways now..... A man can't have too many V12s. I've had the Murci for 15 years now!
  5. Checking in here, for the first time in years. Still have the Murci. Then got a family. Then got dicked around on a delivery date on an Urus, so bought a used FF. Never been happier. Bumped into Topjay at the Urus London mega launch by Horseferry Road years ago. Never saw a soul at the Lambo London launch in their showrooms.
  6. Righty. Finally got to the bottom of this. The front section of the handbrake cable that connects to the lever had part of the sleeve collapsed. That was effectively crimping the inner core. It looks like it was twisted slightly when initially installed, and over the years had twisted further and compressed. A new one is about £300 GBP (~$400 USD) if I could get one. Factory still not fully open, part is on back order. I ended up getting a UK motorsport company make my a copy. Total cost just £60 GBP. All installed, handbrake has never been so easy to operate, and releases fully every time. I've had the thing 15 years now, and this was always tight, and often didn't release fully enough without wiggling to turn off the dash light. This must always have been sticky.
  7. Long time no posting mates. I've partly transitioned in these long years and have an FF now too..... Anyway, feeling manly again now. Back to the Murci. Handbrake release has been getting worse, with dash warning map not going out when releasing handbrake (not fluid level) and feel of brakes binding. Binding is the handbrake. Found RHS rear cable very stiff. Replaced that, both handbrake calipers removed, they moving freely, copper grease on the pad edges. All pulleys moving freely, and rear LHS pivot. No real difference. One thing I notice is that both my cables are fitted like this, with ally cap on ferrule side of the lever. I just spied this photo in a workshop manual, ally cap is on top of spring. I guess I'm losing some return spring tension on both sides, if this is the correct way to fit them; Just from looking at these now, I think mine is incorrect. When releasing handbrake, lever arm on RHS handbrake caliper stays under tension. Attention now on the cable from the handbrake to the underside of the car. Mine is the Coupe update with the cable from lever to underneath the car, and first pulley on the LHS of the car, not like the early ones, which were the same as the Diabolo with a pulley behind the lever too. This cable is binding. Looks more stinky to remove. From another photo on the web, this one appears to have a further return spring behind the adjuster, which is located directly underneath the transmission. Mine doesn't have that spring. FYI, this is not the LHS rear cable, they have pictures of that too. Anyone else have similar issues or fixes ? Is the cable with a spring a modified part ? Any other suggestions chaps ?
  8. OP, which pipe was actually leaking. I have a leak in the same area, and haven't been able to identify exactly where it's coming from. I've replace banjo union washers and made sure it's all tight, but still can't actually find the leak. I also bought alternator hose from Demon Tweeks here in the UK, 15GBP for the length.
  9. Love the look of that spec. Interior colour complements the outside. Wheel choice great too ! See my other thread. I'm back in love. Just want the fcuking thing.
  10. No updates on my delivery date from this side. There's around six or so now driving around in the UK. If you're on Instagram, look at Topaz Detailing. They do the new car prep for the London Lambo and Ferrari dealers (about four in total - UK is tiny). They've detailed most of the new Urus' out in the wild in the UK so far. A couple of You Tube/Insta bloggers seem to have new Urus'. They were never even born when I put my deposit down. My build at a reasonable spec is £220K, that's an uncomfortable amount of cash for something I'm not infatuated by. I see other people's rave reviews and am hanging on... I just bought a 2018 VW Golf R. 310HP, 4WD. Mega Go kart. Puts more smiles on my face than even the Murcielago for general tooling around and making a nuisance of myself...
  11. Australia I guess, where abouts ? Delivery in December, or built and awaiting shipping ?
  12. Thanks for the dates above fellas - RHD must be the issue. Rest of the world is basically LHD. Guy I know did the factory trip last month, he said line is up and running and there's a lot full of them, all LHD. There's virtually no photos and spots out and about on the web, no owners here enjoying their new Urus' and relating the story.... Where are these nine a day cars going to ? ....
  13. I knew what you meant Allan. I hope you didn't impulsively get jiggy with the Loctite....
