Andrew R. Report post Posted March 5, 2018 VB has been almost too visible the past couple of years. I felt like I saw him at every event for a minute there. From a marketing perspective, it is less of a headline if he is attending many events. But we are glad to have him, it is nice that he did not retire and become a recluse like others have. 360challenge Report post Posted March 6, 2018 Last week at the factory, his name came up. The guide said when he is there, nobody pays any special attention nor knows he is someone special to Lamborghini.
dragvorl Report post Posted March 6, 2018 Last week at the factory, his name came up. The guide said when he is there, nobody pays any special attention nor knows he is someone special to Lamborghini. When I was at the factory in 2015 I arranged a meeting with VB with him. So when we finished the guided factory tour I tried to contact him through the reception staff, showing them the email correspondence with Valentino. They denied me telling me that he is retired and no longer is a Lambo employee. I was really disappointed, but fortunately Christina Guizzardi was there and she was very very kind, I want to say thanks to her here as well. She called V and he arrived some time later. I was very lucky to have met him, as that was my wish for a long long time. Valentino is a real gentleman and the best possible ambassador for the brand. Wish all the very best to him and many anniversaries in good health!

Ohlgren Report post Posted March 15, 2018 I met VB at Concorso Italiano in 2012. He was walking by and I introduced myself, told him I lived in Oregon and owned a Jalpa. My wife snapped a picture of me with him and he thanked me profusely. It was only a minute before he was escorted promptly away by someone. The next year I took my car down and saw him at the club dinner. He came to our table to meet everyone. I started to introduce myself again and he said "Yes from Oregon with the Jalpa, I remember." I was floored. He was so kind to everyone. I saw him crawling around on the ground helping someone with their car at the 2012 show. I am impressed every time I see him.
