    What's this forum for?
  1. Congrats!!! Storys like this are what help keep the dream alive. Please give us more pic's (they don't have to include the stewardess just the care is fine) and full impressions of first time ownership, it would be much appreciated!!! Congrats again!!!!!
  2. The auction is already at +40k and it still has 6 days left. This will be interesting!!
  3. I think you're right Allen here's the link to your thread: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21719 Looks like it's the same car. I'll be very interested to see what this sells for. It would seem that with a salvage title it would only be a good investment if you decide to part it out. If someone is buying it for car to drive and own, they won't get back whatever money they put in. Hopefully it goes to a loving home and is made whole again!!!
  4. It's been a dream since I was a kid. I think I found the right car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini...1QQcmdZViewItem That has to be the worst thing ever. "Guaranteed to get attention from everyone" maybe, by everyone laughing you off the street. I have to go throw up now!!
  5. It was mine for a day. I was on a cruise last Sept and we stopped in St. Maarten and I booked that little baby for the day. We caught 2 wahoo's (like the one pictured) and 4 'cudas in about 2 hours and then got skunked the rest of the trip . That was by far the biggest fish I had every seen let alone caught though so it was worth it. I'll go with Emilio on the '76 and say it gets closer to 400k than 600k no matter how sexy it is?
  6. There was a lot of talk about this car on another forum with the owner, the former site sponsor that is listing it and and Joe Sackey. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put a link to it but it was quite entertaining for a while. Beautiful car no matter what side the steering wheel is on though!!
  7. My garage is always open for anyone to park their CT, you know, for safe keeping!
  8. Beautiful car! I won't be ready for one until this time next year but seeing Roy's cars just get's me more and more excited. This one shouldn't last long. White on white is AWESOME!!!
  9. The gold rims are about the only thing I don't like on the car real gold flake or not. I seem to remember them being more than that as well, I was only 10 in '85 but my interest in cars was already pretty big. It seems $115K stands out to me as the price back then (and yes that was and still is a lot of money), but some of you wiser and far more knowledgable folks could answer that one.
  10. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsfo...00s/450836.html Looks like a pretty nice car, obviously could use some cleaning up underneath but I give him credit for posting the pics. My question is, it say's the original purchase price was $85k in '85 and he has a picture of the PO, weren't these sold for much more than that or was $85k a normal price for a new '85.
  11. It looks a lot better than the pink one!!! http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/29/pretty-...by-bathing-ape/
  12. My bad, I forgot there was a day between Sat. and Monday. Stupid daylight savings time, that little hour must have really messed with my brain. Anyway, I hope you get what you're looking for. And congrats to Peter2!!
  13. Well those of us waiting to post our guess until the 12hr mark missed our chance. It looks like the auction ended early at 126,100 Reserve not met!! I for one am curious to hear what happened. Hopefully Roy got a good price from private sale.
