To sum it up, it's a bad movie, but it's a very good (entertaining) bad-movie. Batman needs to make friends to fight a bad guy that wants to destroy the world (shocking, I know) ..You can guess how it goes. Overall the plot is meh, the action has it's moments, and the acting is actually good, but this movie feels like a bootleg Marvel film (with post credits stingers included this time). I'm glad I didn't pay to see it (many thanks to Test for hooking it up) but it is entertaining.

*Spoilers bigger than on the on the back of a track-spec Miata*

- DC borrows the Marvel formula, including the guy from Thor who needs some Avengers-style boxes to cause Ragnarok

- Wonder Woman channels Sailor Moon in every fight

- Aqua Man was one of the best parts (though a little under utilized)...you win, universe

- The Flash is Spider-Mans more awkward cousin

- Cyborg...Yeah we're all a little lost on this one..his name should be "captain convenient plot device" as that's literally all he is

- Batman is getting to old for this sh*t

- Superman is dead. But Super Saiyen Kal 'El is f*cking awesome...literally took him dying to learn how to whoop ass

- The bug guys from Attack of the Clones are as annoying an incompetent as usual

- What does every scene need?...MORE CGI

- Louise Lane is "the thirstiest woman in the world"

- Did we mention that Super Saiyen Kal 'El is f*cking awesome?!?

- A DC movie that was kinda fun...not sure how I feel...maybe a bit...itchy...weird

It's not entertaining, fcuking unwatchable....BTW there are no spoilers as it is so predictable you could set your watch to it. A bad retread of Seven Samurai.

I definitely agree. It's like they're rushing to be like marvel but failing at it with each attempt. Half the characters were just thrown in, no backstory no nothing....just like suicide squad. Entertaining sure but the plot was a complete shit show.

All comic book movies are the same. Group has to get together despite their difference to save the world from an enemy that is impossible to defeat, if not for this one little thing... The Death Star "exhaust vent" trope.

Gal Gadot ad WonderWoman has 2 poses; crossed gauntlets and arm with sword drawn back. Then as Diana, it is subtle but all about no bra and loose cleavage.

Imax is my main client right now, but I am starting to think about declining some of these free screenings. I see about 2-3 movies a month, in Imax, because my office has two theaters built in.

Agreed. All superhero movies & TV shows, regardless of culture, have the same plot: good guys vs. bad guys. Bad guys grow stronger and threaten mankind so good guys have to overcome adversities and set aside personal differences; they band together, prevail and defeat bad guys; end of story.

LOL on Gal Gadot's description but more than likely true.

Most movies nowadays are merely senses stimulants and require little mental capacity if any at all to watch: SFX, huge screen, 3D, surround sound & moving seats etc... Take those away and what are left that are watchable can likely be counted by one hand.

Curious: are your IMAX theatres equipped with Dolby Atmos sound system?

Thank you! :icon_thumleft:

Btw, I guess it didn’t come out as such (oops) but I was fully aware that you are IMAX. Would you mind if I ask you a few questions via PM regarding Atmos please?

Just saw it. I think Ace is spot on w his post. It was good but not great. I didn’t hate that I saw it and all the Gratuitous Gil Gadot ass shots were nice.

Considering all the garbage movies out there this was one of the few I was okay going to in the Theater.

My wife and daughter saw Wonder at the same time. Wife said it was good but not as intense in the feels as the previews would lead you to think.

Saw it opening night. I am not a DC fanboy and didn't expect much, and it delivered pretty much as expected.

The lows - The CGI was poor overall. The plot was predictable. The bad guys in general were overall meh..

The highs - Gal Gadot, she is simply hot. Superman coming back a little more badass. Mamoa was good, I also liked the Flash most of the time. The Flash got a little overly awkward sometimes too.

Ace has right of refusal on screenings at Imax now. I see your magic castle invites and lower the bar with bad movies.

Saw it (I don't particularly like superhero movies anyway), it sucked balls. If you're considering seeing this, go see Thor instead. If you've seen Thor already, just see it again.
