  1. What's the easiest way to gain access to the front side marker in order to replace the bulb? Nothing in the owners manual. I was thinking either taking off a panel in the front wheel well or if there's a way to get to it through the trunk.
  2. Aw, now you're tempting me! Didn't realise it was THAT easy. We'll see.
  3. I've kept mine all original. Paint, Alpine cassette, bumpers, etc. Even though I do like the look of the euro bumper better, originality is more important to me.
  4. Yes, I went down to Florida to inspect this car a few years ago. It was in pretty bad shape. It looked like it was in a flood, with rust throughout the entire frame and dents in the frame as well. The entire car looked as if would need to be dipped in an acid wash. At the time, it would have cost way too much to repair than what it was worth. Much cheaper to buy one in good shape, which I eventually did. Different story today though with current prices. It eventually sold to someone in Germany for around $40K if I remember correctly.
  5. IMO, the best way to start is to start calling every lambo garage/repair shop you can find and speak with the head mechanic. It's all about networking. Even if the mechanic doesn't know of a project countach, at least he'll have your name when and if one ever comes in his shop. Of course there probably will be other names on his list of people to call, so keep calling periodically to stay in the loop. Good luck!
  6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Counta...=US_Cars_Trucks White '88 up on ebay. I think its an '88.5 because of the digital climate control. Looks very nice. Will be watching to see how high the bids go.
  7. I'm leaning toward this explanation. I'm sure it's a great centerpiece in their showroom! They probably won't let it go unless they get absolute top dollar IMO. With their other used cars, its about turnover. I don't think that quite applies with this one!
  8. LamboPalmBeach Lamborghini Palm Beach just upped their price for the white 1987 Countach! $374,951.
  9. $399K is about what decent 2012 Aventadors are going for now. Which would you rather have? Me personally, I'll keep my '87 FI.
  10. Just checked the link and the car is taken down. Sold? I hope so. Makes the white '87 in Palm Beach look like a bargain now!
  11. Sorry guys, I was talking about the black '88 condition for sale on canepa as being original, not the red '86 from the auction. Should have been more clear.
  12. Didn't see it in person, but was told by Steve that it was in very good original condition. I know nothing about engine/clutch/service though.
