  1. Interesting thread when I'm about to sell my very rare lp640 roadster manual in a very rare Verde Draco Colour. I'm pretty sure it's a 1 of 1. It was a 2008 sydney motor show car. It's my second manual lp640. Does anyone know how many manual lp640 roadsters were made ? I thought there was 10-20 of them. My car is RHD. Thanks nico
  2. Read somewhere there were 899 roadsters made for the murci and lp640 and only 5% were manual. Fortunate enough to own a 2008 6sp lp640 roadster in verde Draco. Rare combo and it's driven 22k miles. Obviously the SV manual would be ultimate but roadsters would be next cos of production numbers compared to coupes.
  3. Read all the posts again and going on tire rack I'll get 235/35 19 they saying can fit 8.5" rim. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks guys it seems strange to have 35 profile in front and then a 25 rear. Stock is 245/35 18 so naturally going up a size the profile goes down a size .Also isn't 235 skinny on a 8.5" rim. So the 245/30 or 255/30 would play up with the awd system ? Here in Australia the rears only choices are nittos or Pirelli. Thanks
  5. Sorry to bring this from the dead. But I've just ordered a set of 19/20 wheels. I'll run 345/25 Pirelli rears but the front should I run 245/30 or 255/30 on 8.5" rim. Thanks LP
  6. Daniel I basically transplanted my WB kit of my NA1 coupe to my current NA2 T and have done more over the years. So still have it and just came back from NSX Fiesta in Japan. My NSX gets alot more compliments then my lambo and maserati sometimes because so rare in Australia. My old Grigio Telesto LP640 I had BATM4N plates you should get vanity plates to match best mod to the car. Gotham ?
  7. Agreed with the above my car is a single owner sensible and mature. It had 18,000 miles which in Australia is 30,000km alot of people thing is extreme high use over here and alot of people dont even dare to touch it. But Im also a regular driver of my previous lambo's and not afraid of it if it has FSH. This car had not only full service he had folder over every receipt and photos at major intervals and I knew him from the club and know that he drove the same loop road nearly every weekend. Still original clutch and brakes but 4 sets of tyres. His answer made sense country/mountain driving not as many start stops and 6am in the morning no traffic. My previous LP640 went through a clutch in 7,000 miles but when I bought it dealer did major service and I did 10,000 miles myself and no issues. The roadster also had full clear wrap and the interior was like brand new. Super low mileage cars you would be concerned whether car has been worn in and seals and everything havent ceased up from sitting in storage. I plan to keep the car till at least 25,000 miles and possibly 30,000 miles. I wish we used miles for this purpose sounds better than 50,000km lol come selling time.
  8. Thanks all! Car is in workshop at the moment for some mods after 36 hours of stockness, go fast/loud crack pipe hit me hard. I'll post over the weekend, car colour is very unique I had Grigio Telesto before and now this. Draco is much more classy. I dont know why they discontinued it. Whiteout- thanks for offer I'll check with my mechanic. No Draco's in US ? I think they are in europe and Asia most of the pics I've seen. Mr Ed- UK press car was the one on Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson.
  9. Cross out Larini! I made that mistake. If you dont want to go Kreissieg choices are Powercraft or IPE the valvetronic makes a difference and you will never worry about pissing off neighbours or local police.
  10. sprite- I'll take photos of my new install later today or tomorrow. I had IPE on my old 640 for over 2 years no problems. We never spotted an install or mounting issue except trying to get the tips to line up straight which I guess was an install issue. mkcw99- I had CEL come on for a while and then it'll turn off nothing major just sensitive. My maserati is continuously on and it still has cats. Last time I had 200 cats, this time 100 cats so will keep you posted. I'm sure with catless it'll be more vicious but the smell and also issues with police $10k fine no cats. Regarding the backfire i'd say thats more the downshift and on that SV its E gear so programming for the downshift. Powercraft also looks to be catless.
  11. Hey mate! Congrats on your new purchase! It's funny how we seem to buy similar cars over the years. btw its Nico aka NSXBOX I had the widebody NSX same time you had yours not sure you remember. I bought a G and not long after you bought one, then I bought a LP640 in Grigio Telesto you bought the MC which I also bought last year and still own and you bought a LP640 and I just bought another LP640 lol I considered the Mclaren 650s as it reminds me what the NSX would be like updated but the noise I just couldnt get over it and doesnt feel as special as the NSX. Enjoy the LP640! and looking forward to future mods and purchases!
  12. I've had the Larini drones on idle and is way too loud. Get F1 sound valvetronic exhaust like Kreisseig, IPE and Powercraft. IPE is the value for money Im on my second set but if you balling and want ultimate is Kreissieg. The other thing you have to think is whether you want to go catless which powercraft is and overs similar sound.
  13. IPE for me its proven and value for money and the F1 high pitch sound for half the Kreissieg Exhaust. I'm on my second set on my second car.
  14. Dear LP, I've just picked up for the second time another rare 2009 LP640 6sp Manual this time a roadster in very rare Verde Draco (I'll post on a separate thread) In Australia the market is smaller and we drive RHD but the LP640 and 670 in 2015 has gone up significantly in value. I sold my 2006 coupe 6sp in March 2014 which was probably the bottom of the market as the car has since resold for more than 10% than what I sold with alot more mileage. I'd be interested to hear how many manual roadsters were made based on the 900 production numbers around 45? based on the 5% methodology. And in verde draco I think my car maybe the only one, all other ones I've seen have been in coupes. Regarding CCB's I'd so pay US$10K for the CCB's, my new roadster doesnt have them and rear pads are gone and the brake dust OMG!! Brake feel there is a difference but the stopping power can't beat the CCB's with its bigger rear calipers and rotors on top of the ceramics. With my car being RHD my car's value is more influenced whats happening in UK and asia and at this stage manuals arent showing the strong premium that US cars are showing at this stage.
