  1. I'm in the Lehigh Valley, near Lehigh University.
  2. Looks good. The rear decklid is CF as an option. I like the fixed spoiler. The exhaust note doesn't seem any different from mine. I haven't driven it yet....
  3. Much as I like my R8 it sounds like for you a Gallardo is the way to go. I remember doing the same stuff when I had my G. I do like the looks of the R8, but I can go upstairs to bed at night without that last look at the car. If I had a 560 I'd be looking at it saying,"WOW". I'm also a fan of fixed rear spoliers like on Superlegeras. I like Astons too adn so does my wife!
  4. I have to agree with Transgender: Chix love the Audi WAAAAAY more. If you want to meets girls at the gas pump go Audi. To meet guys go Lambo. I owned a 2004 Manual G and now a 2011 Manual R8 V10. The R8 is much smoother riding yet still has great handling. It compares with a 560 which also is better than the original series. Manual is the way to go and nowadays it is very hard to get (and resell) a manual Gallardo. I just posted a picture of 6 R8s at a local get together and all (except the GT) were manual trans. I've driven the R-Tronic and it doesn't thrill me. One final thought: maybe the girls you meet with an R8 are the wrong kind. I once had a nice talk with an 80yo retired doctor who drove 911s all her career and she loved my car. Girls who want to ride in a Gallardo may be more interesting to you. If I had all the money I'd get an LP-570SL EGear and an R8 spyder manual.
  5. It's funny: when I had the Blue Gallardo, there was another one like it nearby. Now I know 5 other R8 owners and 1 looks just like mine. Oh well, maybe if I bought a Chevy Volt no one else in the area would have another.
  6. Note the fixed rear spoiler of the GT in the back. 6 local friends with R8s in Pennsylvania. The ZR1 on the right is another friend who tagged along. All cars are manual trans except the R8-GT
  7. Here is a very rare IWC pocket watch that has been in my family for years. Over at the IWC Forum, there is no information on this Reference number but it is known to be in the range that was used for these pocket watches. The movement is decorated too. It has been in a safe deposit box for years and is almost unused. It has the original box and packaging too. I have been advised that the serious IWC collectors are in Germany and I was thinking of taking it there on my next trip. I would sell it in the US for $2999.
  8. Etymotic ER-4P They do wonders for noise isolation when traveling and they are very accurate.
  9. I want to know who makes the bomb suit. That is a great ad for the product!!
  10. Will see them in July in PA. Saw them last time they came around to PA with Muse opening
  11. Thanks for the update. That was my first international shipment with a customs declaration. Glad it worked OK. How about a picture of the car without the cover!
  12. My conclusions so far: Yeah, the topic title was inflammatory: Guy was killed for getting out of the car and being combative. Never Ever do that! Police do have a right to consider people getting out and approaching then as aggressive and they have a right to defend themselves. I have a right to defend myself too, however I don't think the law would look kindly on me emptying 7 rounds from a Remington 870 into the back of a man down on my lawn. If the witnesses are accurate and the guy was tasered 7 additional times once he was down then the cops deserve to be in trouble.
  13. LA Times story here Reason Magazine reports 350 pound man allegedly runs stop sign, gets out of car and is "combative" so he is tasered. Witnesses says he was tasered 8 times. Then he died.
  14. Here are the 2 logos. Unless I somehow missed it, it doesn't say Gallardo. How can you get $US funds to me? I am not worried about UPS or Fedex shipping...
