RobberBaron Report post Posted March 31, 2017 Hello everyone, Myself and some family are going to pick up their Murcie down in Miami this upcoming week, however, we have a 24 foot trailer we are picking the car up with and no where to put it! If someone has a business, or place, that they wouldn't mind letting us leave the trailer at (Tuesday- Saturday). I would greatly appreciate it. Not to be picky, but somewhere safe too. If this is a possibility at all, please shoot me a PM or respond below and I will PM you! Cheers, RobberBaron
RobberBaron Report post Posted April 1, 2017 There has to be someone who knows of something. It is a brand new enclosed trailer, certainly no eyesore!

RobberBaron Report post Posted April 2, 2017 Leave it at the dealer? I shot a PM to abolfaz. Whiteout, there isn't room to get it in. The dealer itself actually has to unload and load all of their cars on the street.
Kevin M. Report post Posted April 3, 2017 Have you loaded a Murcie in an enclosed before? If the trailer is 8 1/2 wide this leaves you with about 1/2 inch on each side between wheel wells at the widest point of the car. Bring some diapers and some lube I bought an enclosed, Race ramps is making a custom set of ramps that will keep the car elevated above the wheel wells. My folks were kind enough to test fit my Murcie to make sure theirs would fit. Luckily it all worked out! I will throw up a few pics later
Andrew R. Report post Posted April 4, 2017 Not to hijack this thread, just a comment on the trailer topic... I had a 24' enclosed trailer for years, measuring between the wheel wells is a must. I moved the inside of the wells in closer to the tires to give more room... made it a TON easier to put a Diablo or Murci in the trailer! Another comment: ANYONE buying a trailer, even if a good name brand... grab a tape measure and evaluate the square-ness of the trailer before you buy it. When you are squeezing a lambo into an enclosed trailer, it needs to be square and straight. Otherwise when pulling in, you have to steer left of right if the trailer is not nice and square. (I have seen this problem with cheap and expensive trailers! They are not dimensionally setup like a modern car is.

Kevin M. Report post Posted April 7, 2017 Shit! Why back it in, wouldn't most of the weight rest on the rear axles if it was forward? Also escape door on left would be more useful.

Pulling in then backing out is more efficient. Good luck.
Kevin M. Report post Posted April 7, 2017 Yes and for hauling purposes your tongue weight is very important. I just bought this to know where I'm at all the time. https://www.weigh-safe.com/

soup Report post Posted April 8, 2017 How would you even get out of the car with a normal car? Only suitable for murci's and the likes?
RobberBaron Report post Posted April 9, 2017 The car is backed in because of the width of the car. The trailer is at the maximum legal width before needing to be an oversized load. Any other car (aside from the Murcie and Aventador) can go in straight and you can open the door to exit via the escape door. However, the only way to get the Murcie in is to remove the left fender (it is designed to come on and off) and load the car backwards. The side skirts end up being too wide if the fender isn't removed, but because they get thinner towards the front of the car it will fit after the rear section of the car is past the fenders. The CG still works because of the weight of the engine. My Murcie has the LP640 side skirts on it, which doesn't help with the width issues. Once the car is in, it still only clears by a tiny tiny bit. Mine is also a manual (and theirs), so the E-gear issues don't affect me, but it wouldn't matter anyway, because the trailer has a winch that brings the car in. I have a few pics of my family member's Murcie being loaded yesterday I will throw down below. Theirs has the pre-lp side skirts, so it isn't as wide as mine. They have the trailer for all of their other cars, but for the few times their Murcie will be in it, it still works. The pic of the BMW is when my BMW was in it and it fits in just like a normal car. It isn't a pain in the ass like the Lambos. **I forgot to take pics once it was all strapped down**
Kevin M. Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Wow no room for error on that! Last tip, Race ramps can custom make a set of ramps that will go in between the wheel wells and raise the car up above the wells so you have the entire width of the car, $2k I'll be ordering a set soon.
