SV as a highway commuter

Hi everyone, my name is Indy Sam from Matrix Investments and I am buying an SV next month but was wondering if this would be a good highway commuter from Melbourne to Brisbane Australia driving on the highway for regular 2000km trips each way. I’d service it every 4000km with oil and filter so would this be okay? I’d probably space the front seat mounting bolts around 20mm for comfort, and I weigh 64kg. Is there anything else I should service on the car to survive 100,000km?

I doubt if you need to do an oil/filter change every 4000km, especially for highway drives.

You will use a $1 mil plus SV to travel between Vic and Qld at a speed of 100kph servicing it after each trip LOL

Which SV are you buying? There are only a few in the country, I am sure I will know it.

To answer your question, the SV cruises ok on the highway but there are 1 million different things I’d consider doing before I’d do that regular trip in it, for example, you could do that trip for years in a private jet considering you are prepared to blow over $1 mil to do it.

Thanks for the feedback. Awesome that’s great, I just thought it would be necessary to change oil/filter every 4-8K on a car like this. I wouldn’t do the trip every month but maybe every few months that’s all, the rest of the time I’ll be flying.

I was going to buy one off my good friend who owns TheFarm in NSW but he sold it last month so now I’ll just search for one or get a regular AV until then. Cars are cars and I like driving them, although my passion is motorcycles. Overseas trips are for flying but if your going interstate in no rush then it’s sometimes good to cruise and reflect on things.

Appreciate the feedback and no this was a serious question.

OT, I watch Lee (supercar advocates) and he had a SV and SVR which I haven't seen on his channel for a while now. Did he sell them? And in AU can you register left hand drive cars?

I have no idea what Lee does I don’t watch his channel, sorry I can’t help you on that, as for LHD cars they can not be registered in Australia unless they are older cars, I think 35 years or older.

Ship it and fly yourself, that far would be long and tedious as a drive. would also be hard work depending on what seats the car has, Aventador would be fine as a GT, SV not so much.
