Has anyone changed the window felt runners ?

my windows are very slow, and I've sanded the runners as suggested by Roy, and they have shown a little improvement, but not a lot.

I'm presuming I need part number 1, 4 and 9 ?

huge possibility it isn't the runners, but the window regulators. try the runners first for sure the regulators are a pain in the ass and a two man job.. i did it by myself, but holding the door down while working inside the door was like some yoga shit.

Wouldn't make sense to be the runners. If the felt was worn, that's less material to drag on, unless it was cocked in there, but unlikely both sides. How bout just some silicon spray?

Slow up and down windows are most commonly NOT bad wire or bad motors...MOST common issue is the felt lining in the window track had become worn and shinny smooth...they will slow the windw done. If real bad, they have to be replaced..but most of the time can just clean them real good with mild soap and warm water, as well as wet sand them with a fine grit sand paper, then they should work a lot better.

Roy is dead on about the slow windows. Normal is the seals that the window rides in should be replaced. To test this add a bit of lube in both channels the window should work better.
