PPI Referral - Reading, PA

I’m looking to hopefully bid on this grey/silver (Grigio Antares) gated manual murci on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-Lamborghini-M...eCV&vxp=mtr

Does anyone know any good shops near Reading, PA for a PPI or perhaps a forum member in the area willing to take a look at a car?

Unfortunately, I didn’t see this ebay post earlier, but it’s exactly what I want – gated manual in Grigio Antares. I might have to fly over to PA to check it out Saturday/Sunday before the auction ends, but was hoping to get some insight before I took the leap to see if it was worth the trip – maybe someone from the forum would be willing to take a look? – I could toss you a few bucks for your time… or if anyone has any local suggestions for a professional pre-inspection from someone who works on Lamborghinis in the area, that’d be appreciated as well.

The nearest dealership is Lamborghini Palmyra, NJ, but was hoping there was someone/something closer. Any advice is appreciated – this would be my first Lamborghini purchase. Thanks!

Does anyone know the history of this Grigio Antares (grey/silver) gated manual murcielago on ebay?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-Lamborghini-M...eCV&vxp=mtr

VIN is ZHWBU16M63LA00739

Curious if anyone knows this car/vin, or its history. Searched the VIN and I see some photos from when it was at Lamborghini Miami, but that’s all I can find.

Any thoughts about it are appreciated based on your take of the pics. I noticed the following myself on the pics, etc.:

1. Doesn’t look like it has stock Lamborghini floor mats

2. Found it interesting that the seller on ebay is using a new account (zero feedback). Also, it looks like there is no reserve. Appears the ebay seller is probably not the owner. A lot of legal talk in the description. All these items throw off miniature flags for me… but maybe I’m just overly cautious.

3. In picture 7, the rear of the car, the exhaust appears not lined up perfectly symmetrical (tilted) – but maybe I’m just anal. The angle of the pic could be skewed.

4. In picture 16, I don’t understand why the leather on the right side of the shifter is puckering so much – that’s quite a fold in the leather – looks like the shifter moved around a bit.

5. In picture 17, it looks like there is an imprint of something on the dash – like something was pressed up on the dash for an extended period of time and left a permanent mark on the dashboard (looks like a little tire track). But maybe that is just sunlight/shadow from the windshield?

I’m seriously considering taking a look myself and hopefully getting a PPI done. As I mentioned in my other post, if anyone is near Reading PA, and wants to take a look at this, let me know.

I’d love to hear your observations about this ebay post – what do you think?

The little things do raise red flags, but not all of them.

The "tire tread" on the dash is a factory thing. The early Murci's almost all have it. It's the contour under the leather where the airbag is located that makes an impression on the leather over time. Not much you can do about it.

The shifter moving around is an interesting one. There is a cage under the shifter that is bolted to the frame that keeps that from happening, and I would wonder what's going on that would make it move around. Makes me wonder if the car was converted to 2 wheel drive at one point. It may still be converted, or it could have been converted back. Could just be from a clutch change and they didn't bolt that cage on properly. Who knows.

The exhaust tip is definitely not stock for that car. It's from an LP-640. It's an expensive piece, and not really a bad thing unless you want to maximize originality. The exhaust system is very adjustable, so that tilt can probably be adjusted out. Tilted exhausts are common with mechanics doing other work and they don't both to line the exhaust up right after they are done. Ask if this car has had a clutch job because that's engine out.

Otherwise it doesn't look too bad from the pics, but you do need to have a trained eye look at it in person.

I live an hour from Reading. I’ll call the service writer at Porsche of the Main Line who I know well ask him to what level they can do.

The owner there recently purchased Lambo Newport Beach, all great guys.

I wouldn’t use Kerbeck if my life depended on it if it has to go to a dealer. I’d personally recommend Lamborghini Paramus. They have done all of the work on mine and 4 other friends cars. Much more accommodating and professional. Plus a great driver that they use for pick up/deliveries.

I’ll send you a PM later this am.

Thanks all, really good info. Ya, I'm noticing that airbag impression on other Murci's I'm seeing online - never noticed it before. I spoke withe the owner, it seems pretty legit. Planning my next chess moves now...

Spoke to dealer I mentioned initially above.

I agree a place like Will’s especially since he serviced it or Lambo Paramus would be another. Myself and several friends have all been happy with their service. I dealt with Chris the service writer.
