Leatherique and the Jarama

For a very long time, like 3yrs, I have wanted to experiment with Leatherique. It was suggested to me by a some who has many saddles......and some Lambos. I have been told by several other horse people that they use this on their saddles. Then found out that it is used in many leather restoration shops. So, finally, I went to ebay.

The first is the product on the car, sitting in the sun. It does what it says it does. It does revive cardboard leather. It does lift the dirt out. Patience is important, may take a 2nd time to do. I may do mine twice.

The oil is applied by hand, with a latex gloves on. The cleaner, used afterwards, is sprayed on then brushed in. Then wiped off.

The rear deck is the most important. That black was almost gray and hard as cardboard. Just the oil on there makes it look good.

I've had the best luck on seats by putting a dry cleaning bag or garbage bag over them to retain moisture for a few days. They soften right up.

Add me to the list. The stuff was recommended to me on this site years ago. I used it on my Jalpa. The leather was getting dry and I was worried about it splitting and cracking. Everything softened right up. I get a lot of comments on the interior of my car. The stuff really does do wonders.

On a side note, for kicks, I used it on a pair of suede leather hiking boots I had that were about 10 years old. They had become my work boots and I seriously abused them for years. Leatherique made them look almost new again. I was blown away.

I think it is what the stuff can do for really old or damaged leather that makes it so great.
