Finally bought my first Ferrari--well 2 actually!

Well, after years of making jokes about "Ferrari fags" I now have becaome one. I will NOT be buying any Ferrari paraphernalia, but I do plan on enjoying rthrse two cars. Have been following Speciale's/Scuds/CS's for all of last year. Speciales are still trading too high IMO and there are 3300 of them or so. There are over 4000 Scuds in the world, so I don't think they will appreciate as well as the CS's. There are supposedly only 1288 CS's produced, with 386 coming to the States. It's one of, if not the best, sounding Ferraris to leave the factory. I plan on keeping it for awhile!

The 355 is a 1995 OBD1 manual in a very rare Canna di Fucile (gun metal gray). I wasn't looking for a 355 and have heard the maintenance horror stories on 5 Year engine out services, but I was really taken with the color combo and I think I bought the car right.

Anyways, here are a few pics!

Awesome. I love the CS. For your next service the 355 will need an oil change.....

And a new exhaust manifold....

And a new alternator.

It has become a real maintenance scare of late since those valve guide issues became real.

But running right, the feel and sound of the car are great. And it still looks good.

Love the CS's! My favorite of the affordable Ferraris.

On of my partner's had one. He still talks about how every service it cost him 10-15k of and this and this. When he got rid of it he just took it to the dealer and took their pittance of a buy price but was happy to be rid of it.

I will absolutely own a CS in the near future. Had a deposit on a 2k mile 1 owner car a few years back and purchase price was $160k. Ended up passing on it for no good reason. But it's probably my next "big" purchase. That or a 675 LT but the CS gets me giddy every time I see them. My first time experiencing one was about 5 years ago at Houston Cars and Coffee. I was down there to look at a Rosso Metis Gallardo at the Lambo dealer and went to Cars and Coffee first. Of all the cars there that morning the CS messed me up the most for some reason. Then I proceeded to the dealer to look at the Gallardo (passed on it because I didn't love the color) and low and behold they were having their running of the bulls. It was when the Aventador had just come out, so to see several that morning was pretty epic. But what stuck with me was the CS. It also attended that morning among about 40-50 Lambos and believe it or not, the CS was my favorite car there and the Lambo dealer. Still can't explain why... But needless to say I fell in love with them that day and will own one. Congrats!

Congrats Leadfoot!! :icon_pidu:

Thanks Felippe!!!

Valve guides have been done on this car as well as sticky buttons. I'm hoping it won't give me too much trouble--we'll see!! I can't believe how smoothly it drives though! Crazy for a 1995 car. Sounds decent with the Tubi exhaust. It certainly won't set any land speed records, but it is fun to tool around town in. The color has been getting a lot of comments...
