Aventador SV Seats

I need someone to explain to me about the seats in the Aventador SV. Apparently there are the sport seats that many say are uncomfortable. I now understand that they do have electric adjustments. Thought they were all manual with no seat back adjustment? Then I was told you could get what I call comfort seats. More comfortable and fully heated and electric on both sides. Could someone comment on this. Thanks!

Sports seats are carbon buckets, no adjustment at all except forward and backwards. Very hardcore, no padding.

Comfort seats are basically aventador standard seats re-trimmed, fully electric, etc back adjusts and padded. They are option seats and cost extra.

It is a matter of taste and comfort I would think.

These are the standard Carbon Fiber sport seats in the Superveloce

While these are the optional comfort seats

While I love the look of the sport seats, I have heard tall owners have an issue with them because you actually sit 'higher up' in them, so less headroom compared to the optional comfort seats, which as far as I know, are in fact the regular Aventador seats but in a special Superveloce livery.

I have comfort and glad I did! the buckets look great but not functional for me.

I have buckets in my RS and they are excellent but for some reason lambo missed the mark.

when is your build date?

Are you sure about the sitting position? Because my salesman also a good friend of mine told me comfort seat sits higher than sport seat does?

topjay answered exactly correctly. There are two problems with the sport seats - Issue 1 is they are very upright and are mounted high on the rails, so there is virtually no headroom for those that are 6' and taller. I am exactly 6' and they do not give me enough headroom. My sight line is obscured by the weather stripping at the top of the windshield. Issue 2 is that they are very uncomfortable.

Issue 1 has been addressed by LPers in various ways. One fellow made a custom rail and mounted his seat lower and inclined. Others have swapped out the OEM seats with Technocraft seats, which actually addresses both issues 1 and 2. I have also heard of purchasers with sports seats opening up the padding and replacing it with memory foam.

The negative with replacing the sports seats is that they look much better than the comfort seats. My SV has comfort seats... if there was any way I could tolerate the sports seats I would have gotten them, but even sitting in them for 5 minutes was enough to convince me otherwise.

All modern Lamborghini sports seats share one fundamental problem, they are a slight bit too upright. The problem is multiplied if the driver has a long torso. Like Porter said, it will interfere with your line of sight. But if one is between 5'5" and 5'10" then the seats should work. Although you will still be sore after 20mins (max) due to the lack of proper padding.

I was test driving the SV Roadster with comfort seats. I have to say the sitting position is really annoying even it was in its lowest position. Had to check traffic light by moving down my head, I'm 6 feet or 183cm.

I just realized majority of the LP members are either soft, tall or both :icon_mrgreen:

Earlier this week I did 1,000 miles (1,600km) over 2 days. Not once did I feel uncomfortable. All these guys need to get in the gym, do some squats and build some meat on their asses.

I am 5'11.

good to hear, but I'm 5-10 190lbs work out 6 days a week for 20 years+ and the sport seats were still uncomfortable for me(but they do look great). the comfort option feels perfect to me. i like having the adjustments. in my RS the buckets are perfect and the couch seats feel horrible IMO. i guess its all preference. i also had buckets in the 650s and they were horrible, i couldn't even turn my body 6 inches lol

My mate that came along was driving his 911 GT3RS. We swapped for a little while. I found his car soft and cushy.

Just a little update on race seats I just did the simplest mod possible on mine, spacers at the front and longer bolts to the rails, net result is about 3.5” recline could have gone further but that worked for me. Amazing difference, way, way more comfortable and cost virtually nothing. It’s like being in a whole different car and I’m very happy as they were getting to me a bit before on longer trips.

Great compromise to retain the proper seats but gain a bit more comfortable driving position.

Race car team suggested it, its is what they do for tall drivers to get them in non adjustable seats if height is a problem. Anyway it’s a winner and I would highly recommend, very quick and easily reversible.

I’m 7k miles in now, still loving it, special car that is more than the sum of its parts, speed and what it can do on paper, one of the few modern cars that still has a bit of magic to it that can’t be measured except in enjoyment and an unspoken bond you get with it after a bit that you don’t get with most new “perfect” cars.

It’s like an aging friend that plays professional sport that is still top of his game but if from a different era and will retire in a couple of years, never to be replaced, likes drinking, eating, partying and a bit of misbehaviour now and again.

Huracan is the perfect physical specimen athlete to be admired that eats clean doesn’t drink or really go out but turns out perfect performances week after week, you can’t fault & you know how reliable and good it is but despite being technically better it doesn’t give the same enjoyment and bond as the silly one!

topjay your assessment is spot on, the more I drive the SV the better it feels and the more I love it, just on 4000 km so far.

Do you mind posting some photos of the mods to your seat? TIA
