Powerr95 Report post Posted October 18, 2017 I am still torn bw an lp coupe or lp roadster. i am selling my 04 coupe, listed in the classifieds and getting mixed messages bw coupe and roadster so far, the feedback is roadster has a better experience but more trouble to put up and take down the top. I want a roadster but don't want the hassle. please share your experiences Thanks
Assman Report post Posted October 18, 2017 I was all about a roadster until I spent a day in one. It was hot as all get out and you can’t put the top up to get shade. Even full blast ac did very little. That day I decided on a coupe. The roadster is great if you’re going to pull it out and go for a drive and put it away. Any more than that and you may find yourself hating it.

murcivu Report post Posted October 19, 2017 Coupe...plus the fact that I can't over not having my privacy with a roadster when I drive.
Stimpy Report post Posted October 19, 2017 I am a coupe guy. I prefer the anonymity, especially in a car that gets so much attention. In Houston, the roadster really limits your use of a primarily open top car because of the weather. But if you like your car getting the most attention at car gatherings, I will say from experience, it's like the coupe is invisible compared to the roadster when they are parked side by side. So it depends on what you want.
rushdriven Report post Posted October 19, 2017 Coupe. Roadster is cool, but you'd have to live somewhere that you'd never need to put to roadster top on...

Frank-Goodson Report post Posted October 22, 2017 I'm on the same boat. I have a Murci coupe and thinking of buying a LP Rdstr. I won't sell my coupe. I'm planning to keep both of them.
MW000 Report post Posted December 7, 2017 I had the same debate for a long time and picked the roadster. If it is your primary fun car, I'd go for coupe just due to usability The raked windscreen and crazy chamfered glass of the R wins the looks department for me. Yes there are compromises, it gets hot and the top is an utterly useless and hideous toupee but when you get on it with an open exhaust and the weather is right it is an absolute EVENT. It must be paired with the rear glass wind deflector and carbon roof deflector. The carbon roof deflector helps a load with hair if you're 6'0 and over In a perfect world I would own both in 6MT and would not give up either, but for the experience alone I would pick the Roadster. It is slightly awkward driving it being an introvert with all the attention it gets, but just get away from the city and you'll be in love 9 times out of 10 I'm a coupe guy. This is one of the exceptions I'll pick a Roadster first If they made an SV Roadster that would be my perfect car
Fortis Report post Posted December 7, 2017 I was never an open top guy I bought the SV Roadster because it looks stunning but now that I’ve experienced one I don’t think I can go back, like you said top down the noise is intoxicating. Double Report post Posted December 8, 2017 I was never an open top guy I can't do full convertible; feel like I'm in a fishbowl and everyone is looking at me. I can't handle the attention

The A-SVR is the one to get. Since you can carry the easy on top with you it’s the best if both worlds.
Shamile Report post Posted December 9, 2017 The Murcielago top is so easy, I even taught my 19 year old girlfriend Lauren how to remove it and put it back on lol I will only drive Lamborghini Roadsters. I had a Diablo VT Roadster for over 10 years and I currently drive a 06 Murcielago Roadster....as a daily driver. The top is really stupid compared to the VT Roadster but it's less "sweating bullets" when trying to put on or remove the top on the Diablo. One wrong move and you're scraping paint. These days you can put the clear wrap next to scrape prone areas...but didn't have that option back in the day. The Murcielago top is cumbersome but once you get used to is, it's not bad to put on and remove. I can do it in 11 minutes. It's completely waterproof with no leaks. I drive my "best in show" concours winning roadster as a daily driver and even in heavy Florida rain...no issues. I don't have a problem being seen as I'm a very "over the top" extroverted kinda guy lol Buy a Roadster!!

Recent road trip in my '09 Roadster it started snowing (Colorado) and a buddy and I had it on in FOUR minutes. Its nothing! To anyone considering the Roadster, don't fear the top. A) Its not that bad. Really, seriously. Odds are this is AT LEAST your 3rd car and you're not going to be driving it often anyways... who cares? Topless all day baby! I did the top ONCE when it was pouring rain and I had to move the car I normally run both deflectors so it's annoying to bring the roof around so I never do. I also have a full Audison system in the front trunk (very low profile design) so the top does fit but I don't bother I got caught in sun to hail abruptly once and I just drove faster, got a few hail balls in the head, but oh well.
