1320 video of the Underground Racing Huracan's at TX2K18

It was nice to be able to put down more than 70% of power

Do you mean "only" 70% of the available power these cars are capable of was used this event with all that sticky surface? If so, Amar should hire Jason Miller to prep the Caddow Mills airport lol. But seriously most drivers have a tough time putting down anythung rom 60mph on that runway

Last TI at 40 psi we were getting tire spin in high gear and through the traps. At TX2K we were running 48 psi with no traction issues.

Bada$$ video.....wonder how fast they would have gone at 55 psi? 235? Next year buddy next year.......

Peter

I wanted to push them a lot harder but there was no sense in risking hurting the cars since we were all in the semi finals together.

same for me. TI at 46psi was wheel spin, tx2k at 55psi was dead hook

What kind of wing is that on the verde and white Huracans in the above vid? Looks like a performante wing on a non-performante car?

Pretty sure its the perf wing. My buddy looked into it and the wing was around $20k.

A lot more than that. The Hatch, glass, rear body past under the Wing, the wing, frame parts and all the other little things to make it 100% ;(

Yeah if you want the fully functional ALA system I bet it's a shit load more.

Have you guys seen a significant advantage with it in place?

Modifying a car to use a frame mounted APR wing would be a lot cheaper, but I'm guessing the customers want OEM parts and look?

the consistency between all the runs is what's amazing to me. every run went off like the one before it, just in a different color. if robots drove the cars, all the H's (minus the yellow one) would prob cross the finish line at the same time. bravo for not only being fast, but being consistently fast!

Yeah, but then you have an APR frame mounted wing on your Lamborghini

True, but at least it'd be a lot cheaper for similar/higher downforce, and chassis mounted. At least on a shop car, it'd be a easy and revertible way to see the effect of varying amounts of downforce on traction. Or maybe a Huracan GT3 wing

We tried to use a wing from an good aftermarket company and it flew apart at 230. We will never use anything but OEM for now on as far as the larger wings.

Is that the one Herrick got off the trailer with and then it was gone in subsequent pics? Hahahaha

Which manufacturer? So that we may all avoid a repeat. Did the wing fail or the support fail?

I have to say: respect to Bob in his red Huracan. It must be very dificult to focus on the light and have a great reaction time. It brought the man to the semi-finals. Wow! I have zero experience with fast cars but the way his Huracan pulled away from that 7's GTR in the quarters looked a lot faster than a 7 mph difference.

@UGR: Did you guys get frustrated when racing this Viper over and over again? I hope one day you guys line up this yellow Huracan next to a stock one. Just to put things into perspective. Great video by the way!
