lambornima Report post Posted December 9, 2017 The point is to put things into perspective? Because apparently it goes in this order. "Fastest car on the track". When not fastest on the track (which I called a long time ago, pointed at as heresy). "Sounds way better". Next, "Easier to drive, you'll kill yourself in that other car". In the meantime, comparing cars in completely different segments. If you want to compare track ability, go full bore, make no excuses. It's slower, on same type of tires, same type of car, same price. If you want to compare cars subjectively from looks, sound, feel, etc. That's great as well. But don't cheerlead like this car was an "innovation" or industry leader in aero, etc. It just got its ass handed to it by one of the best in the business, end of. It's an awesome car. It's the best sounding car IMO at any price right now. But the McLaren Senna, Project One, and Valkyrie will make it seem like a dinosaur. When was the last time you saw a magazine car with a full roll cage and removed headliner? Honest question. Last time I can remember was the Porsche 918 and Honda Civic Type R. What do these cars have in common in that occurrence? Ya what’s your point though? What conclusion are you trying to get to? That the GT2 is the better car? That it’s the faster car? That lambo is full of crap?
APB Report post Posted December 9, 2017 Something to note, tires GT2 RS ran on aren`t yet available for the car. I think you can shave off 0.5 to 1 sec on the Performante`s lap too, there is room for improvement for both laps actually (rather more for Perf). At best GT2 RS is faster 1.2 sec than Perf around that track. Take into account the massive downforce and 50+ more HP it makes sense that it is faster. The difference in price between the two is quite noticeable too, and I know which one I would rather have. Perf is cheaper and runs nearly the same lap times for less. The point he’s trying to make is that in Forza he prefers the cars which aren’t Lambos and his mission in life is to tell everyone how much better those ones are. Fortis Report post Posted December 9, 2017 Huh, so now you can go tell performance off of the specs like I did months ago and you lambasted me for it? You can't have it both ways. You put better tires on the same car and it will go seconds a lap faster. That includes a Corolla as long as you don't rip the suspension off from the increased loads. What happened to downforce this, advanced suspension that? An AWD car got dominated on a tight short track. I guess full roll cages and racing harnesses are used for more than safety. Chassis stiffness and driver stability... That Porsche looks alive on track. Why wouldn't you want that? Looks fun as hell. I guess it's all preference. Do you want a car that will challenge you and you can grow in driving ability with it over the course of years? Or do you want to be fast with it right out of the box. You are being very annoying and irrelevant once again, actually we here are voting with our wallets spending millions on these cars, I owned both brands at the moment and I also had in the past and I will in the future, I wanted a GT2RS and I had\have the opportunity to buy one but now seeing how the car behaves, sounds, etc. it’s swaying my decision. To answer your question: “That Porsche looks alive on track. Why wouldn't you want that? Looks fun as hell. I guess it's all preference. I worked my ass off to make truck loads of cash and guess what now I want to enjoy it, actually I’d prefer to die at 100 in my god damn bed watching reruns of Seinfeld, I couldn’t care less if I am faster on a truck or not. Now be a nice guy, stop being annoying, let us go about our business in peace and STFU please about all this nonsense because you’ve never stepped foot in these cars but you talk about them as if you are the world’s go to expert. He’s almost like a bandwagoner for cars. His favourite car is whatever cars currently fastest so in his head he gets to “win” arguments based on speed
