P0491/P0492

Hi,

 

My 07 Gallardo Spyder is throwing these secondary injection ODB2 codes, anyone seen this before? Know a fix?

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION Bank1 P0491 Functional check Oxygen sensor output voltage V > 0.3 [V] 2s Once per driving cycle

I was more interested in hearing what caused the problem. Disconnected hose? Bad valve? Pump?

Under what conditions is this occurring? How often?? What happens (i.e car shuts down, etc)

 

With only the information provided I would suggest you have your o2 sensors checked.

So I clear the codes on a run and then it appears the second start after that (according to that table its only read on start up).

 

I don't think its the O2 sensors, because it happens on both banks. It must be some that there is just one of (like the pump) or the pipes. The car was recently services by Lambo of Beverly Hills maybe they forgot to hook something back up.

 

Are you a Lambo mechanic?

 

I'll bring it in for service today.

I am NOT a lambo mechanic; don't want to misrepresent myself. My experience & knowledge comes from my project 350Z TT . I have the code reader and monitor my set-up regularly. I m assume you have a factory set-up. Have you had rough idle???.....what about hesitation?? If so does it occur when engine is hot?????......or cold???? What kind of gas used..

 

Just throwing out a few questions as food for thought.

 

 

Turns out that a line from the secondary air injection system was disconnected. Pretty sure it happened at the full service at BH Lambo. Symbolic Motors fixed it for me.

Hi, I have the same code on my 06 6speed manual (P0492) just on today and I was wondering if you have any idea where is that secondary air system location? I want to make sure if it was unplugged from last service. Thank you
