I am sure you guys have seen most of these, but there were a few in here that I had not seen before.

Sadly... lots of lambos getting smashed up - but seeing these should be a reminder to us all to be careful on the road and not to be too brave.

* Aventador owners who have aftermarket exhausts, see time 6:15 & 9:00 in the video. No, driving away doesn't put the fire out. LOL

Always carry a fire extinguisher in an exotic or vintage sports car!!!

The videos suck . People take pleasure out of others misery . Fire extinguisher a must in all exotics in my opinion

Gentlemen, the purpose of my post was not to take pleasure in others' misfortune or reckless driving. Seeing Lamborghini's smashed up obviously gives me no pleasure in viewing or even hearing about.

The message I intended was a reminder to be careful on the road because it is often easy to get a little brave when driving in groups or on rallies. I have personally seen a number of such accidents myself at events. Most parts of the video remind us of the likely results when you decide to drive like that.

And, that Aventador owners with aftermarket exhausts... be careful and carry a fire extinguisher. If you look closely at the videos you can see exactly what is happening to cause the fires.

Andrew my comment was in no way directed to you, it was directed to those who compile such videos and the people who comment on them, YouTube comments. I understand the reason behind your post and the message, I am speaking for myself but I am sure LODADDY feels the same :icon_thumleft:

Thanks for the show, was interesting to watch. So many under steer incidences. What goes on, is the traction control off? I know in my SL65 & SL600 I always have the traction control on, and find it is almost impossible to loose control when punching it. Some say disengage it to be able to go faster and have some real fun, but that would freak me out because it is already too fast with it on. This was a good reminder because I have a fire extinguisher in all my Panteras, but neglected one in the Murci. Any good recommendations for an extinguisher to place behind the seat? In my black GT5S Pantera the builder put in a system with the chrome tank in the front trunk and extinguisher jets in the engine bay which is operated by pushing a switch under the dash. Never had to use it yet, but feels good having it there. Surprised more exotics don't come with something like that from the factory (or maybe they do, but I am just not aware).

I watched a few minutes of it. It's a good reminder to not think you're the next F1 driver behind the wheel. Just because you can afford the car doesn't mean you have talent behind the wheel.

All joking aside, most of these incidents could have been avoided. I have no sympathy for idiots being idiots.

Good reminder for everyone Andrew! Thanks for posting!

I think you mean OVER steer

Yes that's right, I get the terms mixed up. Right when I feel the back of the car begin to kick out I feel the the traction control kick in...then have some extra cleaning of brake dust to deal with.

From memory of others asking the same, I think the reply was that early cars had some sort of vent in that area that can be ignited by exhaust flames when standing still.

Don't sue me if I am wrong though.

If i was picking on you, you would know it lol . No offense taken whatsoever . I am just tired of the jerkoffs with their cameras and stupid comments aimed at some very sad situations.

Here is my extinguisher set up in my Pantera mentioned above, and I suppose a similar system could be built into the Lambos. Has two chrome jets on each side of the engine bay against the firewall just above the headers. Not sure of the capacity or output of the system, but I suppose better than nothing. I still carry an extinguisher behind the seat too for extre use if needed, or to use if the wife is smoking. Maybe too much effort for most Lambo owners, as most Pantera owners I know are pretty hands on MacGyver type gearheads (except for rookie me that is); however I did replace my own Murci battery ha ha. Need to find what type of portable extinguisher is best for fuel/electrical fires as I need one for the Lambo too. A closer look at my dial says Halon.
