Just saw Bruno.

I would say the movie was pretty funny. Little on the disgusting side though.

 

If you are homophobic do not see it!!!

Reviews from people like us (hardcore) are coming back that the gag gets a bit old, and that you can spot most of the scenes being staged (unlike Borat, where they were more spontaneous).

 

Will wait for the dvd probably.

The scene where he tries to seduce Ron Paul was too funny LOL It did seem to lack the genuine spontaneity of Borat and there is a lot of nudity too, but it has many solid parts throughout the movie.

i preferred Borat, because i felt the character was more convincing, Bruno wasnt.

 

the cringe factor was far higher than Ali G or Borat, but i did laugh, but i dont think it will be quite as iconic as Borat was.

 

funniest scene IMO was when he was at the psychic, and asked if he could kiss Milli "from Milli und Vanilli"

its not really a sequel, because its a different character.

 

however by that logic Borat would be a sequel also, because there was an Ali G movie first, although not a candid type of movie like the other 2

I was never a fan of this character even 10 plus years ago when he brought out the Bruno character in his act. Borat and Ali g are the only way to go. If they come out with an Ali g movie, I would watch it.

I was gonna go see it, till I heard it heavily involves balls, and that it one reason I hated borat.

I saw it with some friends who were high so naturally they found it funnier than it was....

 

I did find the swinger party stuff pretty funny....bothering the two different dudes in a Borat like fashion while they're f*** girls from behind was great.

 

I thought this movie had potential because the Bruno from the TV series did have some great moments....don't know why they had to stage so much in this movie.
