aventadr Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Has anyone experienced a dead battery after not using Aventador for a period of time? is there a user friendly way to trickle charge?
dj700 Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Yeah that happened when I had my 2012. I tried using the included charger and then jumping it but both didn't work, eventually had to get it towed in to get it restarted. I since changed to a 2014 and on the last factory software update they said they adjusted it to give a few more times it would allow jump start attempts before it cut out. Good luck with it but if battery is dead and you cant get it restarted you can always have it towed into service and get it taken care of. Mine was covered under warranty when it happened and didn't cost me anything. It was just a pain.
HighFive Report post Posted October 8, 2014 The Lamborghini battery tender plugs into the 12V receptacle in the front boot. When used, you should have no problem with the battery.
BLK85 Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Ive used a lot of battery tenders, cheap and spendy. They all work the same in my opinion. Save your money and buy a cheap one.

Dereiter Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Ctek is $60 works great plus is the OEM manufacturer That is right. A tender was installed into my car by Lamborghini Orlando perfectly. This device is useful from time to time.
PCJR Report post Posted December 18, 2016 Looking to confirm the using the 12V socket under the front hood works for a battery tender in an Aventador?

DoctaM3 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 Agreed. If you are not going to drive for a few weeks, it is a must esp. in cooler climates. If you garage is cold and its winter, you better be sure to keep the charger on. The OEM trickle charger won't revive a dead battery but it will maintain the charge of a healthy battery. Bottom-line use it often and wisely esp. if the car is being used less than regularly.
