The H Perf is bad ass, but do you really think it's even remotely fair to put on head to head against an ACR on the track?

Yes. Why wouldn't it be? Each is its brand best version of a street legal track car.

They will try to do a quicker run later this week.

Mighty impressive and a huge win for Viper. I don`t think it has a chance against the Performante though.

The ACR will do much better than a 7:03 . Wait until their next time out. All of the european car companies have great knowledge of the ring. Wait till these guys tweek the suspension just right and get a nice clean lap.

I'm sure there is a lot left in it. Also be curious to see if they pull of the extreme wing in favor of the T/A wing, or dial out some downforce. As is, the ACR-E is aero limited to 177 that holds it back quite a bit on the long open runs.

If only there was an aero system that allowed for downforce during breaking and turrning and less downforce for straight line acceleration ;)

I heard they packed up and left.

the P is still ring king!

they said it was the fastest 2wd production car record at the ring.

That would be awesome, if it also kept up the 2,000lbs of downforce the ACR creates.

the 7.03 was by no means a max effort run. It was their FIRST full lap attempt.

how many laps do the factories put in to achieve their best times?

They have at least 5 seconds they are confident they can shave, I hope they get to prove it!

Yeah what I read indicated both their pro drivers had races this weekend and had to leave, and it sounded like they were telling people to go back to contributing money online with the hope of trying it again next month. Not sure if they'll do that or not, or how long the dealer who supplied the cars would be willing to leave them over there (I can't imagine they'd ship them back and forth again), but I think this week's effort is done.

Would be great to see it break 7 second mark.

The active aero of the Perf is what's killing the ACR (awd and dct help too.) Perf topped out at 304kph and ACR was at 283kph.

I agree, but I also think and witnessed a 2wd huracan with track tires will be neck and neck with an ACR on most tracks with same drivers. now the P is a whole other story!

from what I experienced the acr has a slight edge in the turns and the H makes up for it on the straights.

I cant freakin wait!

I think a lot of people under estimate the Huracan. with good tires and a great driver that car will tear it up!

P1 went under 7 min... and they made it sound like they just had to to beat the 918, not the Performante, as if the Performante run didn't count?

I'm all for the effort, I actually contributed to it, but if you're going for the record, you have to go for it, and that's the Performante.... never mind the RWD, manual trans, stuff too...
