  1. I am super luck nothing else happened. It was a full-sized buck with a full set of antlers and there was NO other damage. There was a tuft of fur under my passenger door handle, but other than that (and the mirror) nothing else. You're right... it could have been a LOT worse. Had I been a little slower I would have hit him full on. Of course, with this logic, had I been driving even faster, I would have missed him all together!!
  2. Thanks, if you have any idea where to get a used mirror, I'd love the recommendation. Frank
  3. Guys, I was driving the car last week and a deer jumped out and hit my passenger side mirror. Miraculously, there was no damage... except to the piece of metal which holds the mirror to the "stalk". This snapped leaving the mirror dangling by the wires. Does anyone know of a salvage yard where I might be able to buy a used mirror for my "06 gallardo? I'd prefer not to pay $1500 for the entire assembly just to get a $25 part. I've checked a couple of on-line parts shops and you have to buy the entire assembly which is way more than I need. Thanks, Frank
  4. +1 Just had one installed this week and I agree 100%
  5. I never (ever) aim a hose at my car's engine. A few old socks and a bottle of Simple Green does the trick every time. Frank
  6. Just this week I had a LOC system installed on my Gallardo... Sweet Mother of God, the sound is amazing. At start-up, at idle, under mild and wild acceleration the car is transformed. The LOC system weighs a fraction of the factory exhaust (I lifted both... believe me there's a huge weight saving) and according to Grant (the designer) there's 26 more HP on-tap. It does feel as if there's a little less power off the line and I'm trying to learn how to leave a stop-light/sign without attracting unwanted attention from sound-sensitive police. Rev-matched downshifts are simply EPIC. The biggest pity of the entire experience is once the back bumper goes on... the beautiful exhaust is covered up and no one can see it. I haven't had a chance to record any video... that is coming. Frank
