  1. the gallardo calipers for the ceramics are 6 pot... but still different than the Brembo GT caliper.
  2. Just to clarify- it posted the same lap time as a 997 gt3 not the 991 gt3. Either way, love the gt4!
  3. Thanks for the replies! These are the exact things I'm worried about. I've heard that covering the pool helps tremendously (though the home that we're looking at doesn't have a cover). I guess I need to research heat exchangers and dehumidifiers. I've read that the ambient temperature should only be a few degrees higher than the pool water temperature or else the pool water evaporates which leads to all of the problems. If anyone else has any other experience or thoughts please chime in!
  4. Does anyone on this board have any knowledge about residential indoor pools? We're moving and one of the houses that we are looking at has an indoor pool. Any suggestions on what to look for or what kind of questions that I should ask about? I know that one of the biggest concerns is evaporation and condensation of the pool water. Are these pools a maintenance nightmare and expensive to run (due to things like heat exchanges or dehumidifiers?) Any insight would be most appreciated! Thank you!
  5. LOL we have one of those. We also have a CTS-V wagon in a 6 speed manual. Pretty cool if you can deal with the idiosyncrasies of an american car...
  6. If she is actually missing her baby tooth then there's a chance that she might be missing that adult tooth. If it's a upper lateral tooth then you're eventually going to need to get an orthodontist involved and she'll probably need an implant to replace that missing tooth in the future (when she's a lot older - late teens). If its' a lower tooth that she's missing then sometimes orthodontists can just close the space and it will be hard to tell that she's missing a tooth. It's the upper teeth that play a larger role in the smile esthetics. Bring her in to your pedodontist and I'm sure they'll go over all of the possibilities. I hope that wasn't too confusing!
  7. Have you taken him/her in to see a dentist yet? If you haven't it's probably a good time to bring them in for their first visit. If the tooth is completely missing (ie not unerupted but actually never developed) then it's possible that they may be missing their permanent tooth as well. Best though to go see a pedodontist and have it looked at. Odontoma - just like I thought it was. Like your dentist says- don't lose sleep over it, but definitely have a plan in place to deal with it. ToofDoc- yes that case in Hawaii is sad. I've been getting a lot of info about the case from other dentists. It sounds like a general dentist doing a lot of pedo overdosed her patient for an oral sedation case. Terrible news....
  8. First off - thanks to toofdoc for all the good advice for everyone here. I've been reading on the sidelines and think it's great that you're doing this for LP. Rob- I'm a pediatric dentist so I thought I'd chime in. It's tough to know exactly what they have found without seeing an x-ray... but I'll try my best to help clarify what can be happening. When I do an exam without an xray and I don't see a tooth that should be there I run through possible options through my head. 1) tooth could simply be missing 2) the tooth could be fused to the underlying bone and won't erupt 3) the tooth could be erupting in a different direction 4) or something might be blocking the path of tooth eruption or effecting the tooth itself. It sounds like the xray that the dentist took shows a "tooth mass" that sounds like it may be an odontoma. I've diagnosed 3 of these over the past 15 years or so (most recently last month in fact) and the course of action that I recommend is exactly what your son's dentist has recommended. Referral to an oral surgeon with a 3D Xray to see exactly how large a mass you are looking at. Surgery to remove the mass with a biopsy. Depending on the size of the mass and whether or not other teeth have been displaced your son may need to see an orthodontist in the future. It's a difficult thing to hear as a parent... no one likes to hear the word tumor- but it's good that they found it early. If it is indeed an odontoma then it generally benign. My two older patients that had their odontomas removed still have them in a little jar. My third patient that was recently diagnosed is in the process of seeing an oral surgeon. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.... OK... back to lurk mode. Happy New Year to everyone on LP!
  9. RIP LamboGator... sad news- condolences to your family.
  10. I can't even get an appointment with my dealer. I have to wait until the 28th to call them to see when I can schedule an appt. What a bunch of BS.
  11. I'm working with box-coop.com for packaging for a camera accessory that I'm making. I'm only using them to do a backing card for my product's packaging (a camera lens cap holder ) , but I know they do boxes and more.
  12. Speaking strictly as a dentist...the dentist should have complete control over the time slot that the client has access to. It's not a big deal to let them schedule their own checkups and cleanings.... but for more complex procedures the dentist should be able to control when the patient can choose from. I'm a pediatric dentist so in my case, there are certain patients that I only want to see by themselves versus other patients and procedures where it doesn't matter who else is booked at the same time. For instance, I saw a special needs patient this morning for a procedure and I did not want any other patients in my office while he was in for treatment... that same procedure for a non special needs child that is cooperative would have been easy to do. So for the same procedure I would want the ability to have different scheduling based on what type of patient is coming in. Some kids are a lot more difficult than others... I hope that makes some sense. I love what you are trying to do and think you will have much success with it! Good Luck!
  13. I had EPL tune my wife's old Porsche Turbo and was very impressed. I'd be surprised if they didn't do as promised. That being said, they're communication with customers can be spotty at times...
