  1. IIRC you turn the key to line up with the small arrow on the front face of the lock and it should come out.
  2. That colour reminds me of 40094
  3. With P300 and Silhouette there are two releases. One in the driver's door jamb the other in the trunk top left. Don't know if this is the case with a Jalpa but maybe worth a look...
  4. According to Eurospares site there are three different steering racks 4308737 CREMAGLIERA COMPLETA LHD P250 P250S P300 LHD 4307089 Cavallotto fiss. Cremagliera LHD Jalpa LHD 4307098 Cavallotto fiss. cremagliera RHD P250 P250S P300 Jalpa RHD
  5. OK so it looks like ZF parts you need to find. The LHD Urraco had a deeply dished wheel attached directly to the steering box, not the type shown although this looks similar to the arrangement on the RHD Urraco.
  6. Thomas, Does your LHD car have the large serrated end boots? I think this might differentiate these as ZF boxes. See link. ZF type http://www.ebay.it/itm/LANCIA-BETA-CUFFIA-...=item27ccde3eb1 TRW type http://www.ebay.it/itm/CUFFIE-TERMINALI-SC...=item23266c0bcf
  7. This is indeed a bit of a mystery area as I had the same issue with my LHD Silhouette! I obtained the new central gaiter from Betaboys. Perhaps they are selling spares for RHD Betas that also fit the RHD Urraco. I cannot say what type of rack was used on the LHD Urraco but perhaps the equivalent Beta parts are available in mainland Europe. Several racks were used on the Beta. Perhaps by carefully measuring the turns you can find out which rack is used on the LHD Urraco.... Early saloon TRW 4.04 turns and ZF 3.9 turns Late saloon and HPE TRW 3.82 turns and ZF 3.9 turns Early coupe TRW 3.82 turns Coupe and Spider TRW 3.50 turns Saloon and coupe USA TRW 3.82 turns and ZF 3.90 turns Good luck in your quest!

    HUH?

I wonder why they felt the need to change the original silver to gunmetal. Shame.
  9. You may be referring to 40104, white with body 23 bent gearstick and non standard seats or 40102 red with body 51 recently for sale in Colorado. Cars were not produced in vin or body order!
  10. The Silhouette was introduced at Geneva 1976 as the "Urraco Silhouette" complete with urraco 3000 script on the rear panel and urraco script next to the gear lever gate, exactly like the P300. The urraco script on the rear panel was dropped when the distance between the number plate lights was increased as there was not enough room, but the script on the gear lever gate was retained.
  11. Does anyone have a copy of the build sheet for their P200/P250/P111/P300 they would be willing to share with me for research purposes? I refer to the original hand written version that used to be supplied by the factory not the summary letter that is now issued. Confidentiality is assured! Thanks for your help!
  12. I think the issue with lowering may be reduced ground clearance. I am no expert on the P250 but that is the first time I have seen black side window trims. What colour is the screen surround? Do you know if this feature and the black louvers is original?
  13. Currently for sale in UK - Jalpa engine - £40k
  14. OK that car may have had the Silhouette deep spacer fitted to adjust the ride height. Here is another example. I know this car has adjustable height struts but even so imo the tyres look too small for the arches. With different profile tyres the problem could be easily solved!
