Huracan going bye bye... back to 650S

I've enjoyed my time with the Huracan, granted it wasn't that long. There are just a few small things that I really don't like about the car that annoy me enough that I'm going to get back into a McLaren for...

No keyless entry

No cruise control

No good place to plug your phone in

No good place to rest your left foot

I do miss the doors, and the subtle, quiet power of the McLaren as well.

I get bored easily and as much as I love the looks of the Huracan, I guess the 12C spoiled me.

Hope everyone understands.

have the 650S already or looking?

Got one picked out, just put a deposit down. As long as it looks as good in person it should be a done deal. Hoping to drive down there Thursday or Friday.

Thats so stupid that a car in 2015 that costs 300k doesnt have all of those items.

How's the values holding up on the 650s? Up here the dealer can't move them and are offering competitive lease deals to move them.

I'm sorry.... you are changing a car because of this list only, or is there something else you are not telling us:

No keyless entry

No cruise control

No good place to plug your phone in

No good place to rest your left foot

?????

Those are the big reasons. I like the looks of the Huracan better, I like the handling of the McLaren better. The Huracan is also a bit too loud for me... strange, I know ;)

Did you like the Huracan over Gallardo?

It felt like a very similar car, with a much better transmission. Of course the looks are night and day different but years will do that.

What about differences in the fit and finish between the two? Overall quality equal or?

Thanks for the insight

Overall I think the McLaren is a better car. It's a smoother ride, the suspension and handling are much better and I feel it is faster from a roll. I never launched the Huracan from a stop.

Fit and finish are probably on par... although the cabin is much quieter (both road noise and engine noise) on the McLaren. The stereo in the Huracan is phenomenal... gauge cluster, stereo etc.. wins hands down.

I don't think you can go wrong with either car, it just comes down to personal preference.

The visibility on the 650S Spyder is pretty horrible, even worse than the Huracan. That would probably be my biggest pet peeve with it... Here are a couple pictures from the day I did the swap.

No good place to rest your left foot

This one is the most odd to me...that is THE #1 reason I can't buy a McLaren, no place for my left leg. The foot well has zero room unless you keep both legs locked straight...weird it's the opposite for you.
