help with Customer Service

So apparently there is an ECU campaign on the Aventador. My car is under warranty and I want the campaign done. So far, everything is good. Well, there's no dealer in my state and closest dealer is in Vegas (485 miles away). Last time, with my Murci, Lamborghini paid for transportation 1 way and this was worked out by dealer and lamborghini directly. This time, Lamborghini LV says I have to contact Lamborghini myself to sort that out. Anyway, I've tried calling their 1-866 number and Charles' voice mailbox is full and there is no option to talk to a live person.

Anyone have any secret number I can call and talk to a live person? I'm frustrated as hell and would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

What are you complaining about sounds like a perfect excuse for a road trip :eusa_dance:

Just tell them you will accept luxury accommodation in lieu of transport :icon_mrgreen:

Whose number do you want? I'll look through the Rolodex and see what I have.

Thank you so much! Last time, I contacted the US contact for customer service, Charles Gomes, however it just goes to his voicemail. I was wondering whether there was another number or is he it, in the US?

Honestly, I've seriously considered doing the 500 mile road trip to Vegas with the car, but worry about what if something goes wrong (I'm being a big, fat chicken, but I'm a girl and don't want to get stranded on the side of the road with a broken down lamborghini). Even if hubby follows with another car, if something goes wrong (flat tire, over heat, etc), what am I going to do?

My salesman is awful; doesn't return the calls. No different when I bought the car...that should have been a heads up for me, but that's in the past now.

Anyway, with the Murci and it being under warranty, Lamborghini took care of me. I'm certain they would step up to the plate again, especially as we are a multi lambo family, but I need to talk to someone in person and that's where I'm hitting a wall.

So, if you might have any suggestions as to who else I may call, it would be much appreciated.

Why is the dealer you bought the car from not assisting you? Do they not want your future business?

Honestly, and I'm embarrassed to say this, but he is old school and I think he's sexist...I'm a woman and I don't think he values me as a customer because of that. The dealership is small, really one salesman only and most purchases are from out of state (as I was).

I usually change out cars every 3 years and I know for a fact that I won't be buying from them again, for that reason.

There should be a blacklisted seller/dealer/salesperson section of the forum. With all of the bad posts I read like this, it just makes sense and maybe dealers will ensure to start treating their customers better.

I have a few different phones and emails for you. I'll send them to you this evening when I get a minute to sit down.

Charles is in the US but often keeps a full voicemail box for this very issue, (he's not the only one to employ this tactic).

I don't blame you one bit. These cars draw enough attention (sometimes negative) and as a girl it can be nerve racking to get stuck and not know who might pull over to "help" (or whatever).

I drove mine 600 miles for service once, and then we shipped it a second time.

Any time I drove the car - unless I was crossing into a state where it was illegal - I was carrying.

I also have pepper gel spray which might be helpful under certain circumstances (probably better than nothing although pros/cons like any self defense method)

Sorry to hear that you're having these types of difficulties. Hoping you get a prompt resolution so you can continue to enjoy your beautiful car.

Charles is out right now for a bad flu or something...

Agreed.

He got some crazy virus on a trip.

He has been more than awesome with me. Even calls to follow up with how my car is....

Since your car is working ok, maybe give him a week or so. Last I heard he was doing better, but still down.

Mike

Thank you everyone for all your help. Charles reached out to me this morning and we will be shipping car to Vegas for the ECU campaign. Every encounter with Charles and the corporate folks at Lamborghini has always been so positive; I swear they've ruined me for any other brand (we just need to work on my dealer)!

Charles was indeed out of the office sick, but back to work today. I had the pleasure of meeting him at an Esperienza event a couple of years back and he's just as warm and personable in person as over the phone.

Anyway, thank you all, especially Destructo. This is an amazing brand with a small and tight knit community of pretty incredible people and I appreciate you all.
