I´m receiving my SV Roadster this week. I heard from my Lamborghini Dealer that the Sound Performance Upgrade isn´t available any more... Didn´t anyone know what´s the reason is??

Thanks in advance.

don't know what it is.. I have racing exhaust and I am pissed that this is my 4th Aventador (this is an AVSVR) and I didn't have this sooner.

Sound: Perfecxt

Tune/increase power: very very noticeable

I cant recommend it enough and I just wish I hadn't been forced to have a stock exhaust for the last 3 cars and 160,000 miles of AV driving. I never screw with exhaust cause I really.... like to keep my cars stock mechanicaly and service (or over-service-preventative service them) due to the fact that I rely on them 100% to make it. I would never put a non lambo part on them (mechanically) and I never install a body piece (wing ... body kit) cause I need them to go 200+ mph without taking flight or killing people around me as aftermarket stuff falls off.

The lambo stuff (tune and exhaust) has really increased my enjoyment of the car. I remember when renee turned the SV on in Amelia island and it sounded like a prius ... I was devastated. My new exhaust is really amazing I got it at manh motors and I cant recommend it enough

For the past 12 years ever since the Gallardo was introduced, I have been and continue to bash the poor sound quality of Lambo's OEM stereo. The G's stereo was from an Audi A4 which was a very cheap almost bottom-of-the-line Panasonic unit. The Kenwood on the Murci was a bit better but still far from making the grade. The Sensonum upgrade on the Aventador series was merely a more powerful amplifier, everything else stays the same (i.e. the sound is still crap). A more powerful amp = a bigger amp = more weight. Why would one want more weight on a SV? I had experimented with supposedly "better" speakers that has similar size and weight of the OEM's and the improvements are, at best, marginal. Lambo cabins just aren't design for good stereo sound (long time members may remember my experiment with Alpine's top-of-the-line speakers/amps, active crossover + DSP on a G and, despite being quite a bit better, it still wasn't up to par).

Cliff's Note: forget the stereo, the true music is on the other side of the firewall behind you. Spend the $ on the exhaust software upgrade instead. Spend some more and get the exhaust hardware upgrade and enjoy the V12 symphony in full glory.

Isn't the "tune" similar with blocking the vacuum lines?

Not exactly. It also offers the off-throttle rumble which may or may not be your cup of tea. It also remaps the ECU a slight bit so there is a noticeable difference in the tone of the exhaust.

I think you will be pleased with the hardware sport exhaust upgrade with the associated software which should be available by now.

I have it on my 2016 SV Coupe too... But my Dealer says it´s not available any more (don´t know why). The Thing is, that I don´t want to have the valves always open.

Which is the Best Aftermarket Exhaust with remote Valves ???

the race exhaust comes with a remap/tune to accommodate the new exhaust atleast in 16.

I have the race exhaust I'm waiting to put on my 17 but I cant get the tune. I have a feeling

we will never see it again.

  • 3 weeks later...

I started a thread on the sound tuning package awhile ago

Anyway the sound tuning package which also does add a little power(I know coz I felt it easily after the tune) is different from the factory sport exhaust tuning package.

I have a question hoping someone here can answer about the '14 coupe I just picked up. Compared to the SV I had, this car is considerably louder once warmed up.

When I start the car and put it into corsa, I don't notice any exhaust volume change/increase. About 5 minutes later after it is warmed up, it gets considerably louder as if the valves opened.

Does this sound like I might have the factory software upgrade?

Exactly. You have Sound Performance Tuning installed. It works like this in Sport and Corsa

Hot damn, thanks!! :icon_thumleft:

So now that I have a basis for comparison, it sounds significantly better than the SV did stock. So anyone contemplating

a little sound tune up, go for it!
