Congratulations to Sebastian “Seafish” Robles for winning King of the Streets with his Underground Racing TT Audi R8 GT. The new setup in his Audi R8 was completed just days prior to this race. Due to rain for days at the shop, the first road testing on the new build was actually done at the event. The fact that Sebastian had no seat time with the new build he decided to have me pilot the R8 for this event. I’m very thankful for this as it’s a huge amount of fun to drive and compete with this monster but not only that. It was my first King of the Streets win driving personally. This wins marks the 6th Underground Racing KOTS title. Thank you to all of our customers who have come out to TSS “Texas Invitational” to compete for the King of the Streets.

Sebastian's Underground Racing TT R8 has our latest X Version Twin Turbo System that makes over 2,200 whp. Being a full X Version it has the air shifted sequential billet transmission, just like we use in our X Version Twin Turbo Gallardo builds. As always this TT Audi R8 has the custom MoTeC M1 ECU and PNP system by John Reed Racing.

There are so many that are a part of our Team and work hard to make all of this happen and we appreciate all of you. A special thanks goes out to John Reed for coming out in a wheel chair while still being injured to help out with race support and tuning. Thank you to Doug from Proline Racing for another master piece of an engine build. Doug came to the event to take a few rides in the TT Lamborghinis and enjoy some of his work first hand. Thank you to the entire Underground Racing crew, the ones at the event and the ones that had to stay behind at the shop for everything you guys do to make this possible. Thank you to all our customers that continue to support the events and our Team!

Our final thanks goes out to Amar Sood and the TSS crew for putting on this event and to all of the competitors that come out to race. The competition is incredible and it gets more competitive every event! We beat our Gallardo records in qualifying and in competition and now own all the KOTS event records. Tony's GTR from T1 also took down ALL of the current GTR records from qualifying to competition.

Great to see the excitement fist pump after going through the finish line and then seeing the Howeth Bros. bring the family up for the award presentation. In car footage of Kevin looking for Palo was awesome - that's calmness under pressure right there. Congrats again to UR and Seafish!

congrats! hell of a race. I did not see any big jump. looked like both cars hit it at the same time, R8 just hits harder on the hit.

Very close race from camera view.

The boys at A'M"S have some work cut out for them.

The helms race was freaking close also! Go BOB, he almost beat kevin lol.

Does Bob Helms car make less power? or does the R8 have better aero that allowed to pull another X car?

Power is the same, the R8 was putting more boost down in the lower gears. The 570's did not hook well at this event, not sure what was going on, they hooked great at the last event.

Congrats UGR!

That R8 is just insane

Lol at Kevin looking at the mirror the whole time on the last race.

It's insane how in a matter of 7-8 seconds you guys are over 200mph. Audi R8 is a beast. Congratulations Kevin/UR for winning Kots.

This is for the GTR crowd... and Reed and KC lol! I noticed from the last half mile KC had a knee brace and Reed was rocking the wheel chair. You guys in a tackle football league or something? Guys are getting old!

Get better Reed!

Congratulations to the UGR camp. The r8 is so amazingly quick and it was fitting Kevin drove it and won the event. Looking at the r8 racing the vettes it just shows how fast these cars are. Nice work guys I'm sure you'll keep raising the bar.

Kevin I watched the video of your win last night. It was sick. Without a doubt one of the best racing videos I have ever seen. I think it makes all of your customers proud because they know their car was built my best. Now when people asked me why I sent my car all to Charlotte when there is a tuner in Dallas I am just going to forward them to this link. Congrats to everyone at Ugr. I have never seen a company provide the level of customer service and professionalism you guys do. You deserved the win on many different levels.

Fantastic result and a credit to your organization and customers :)

KC you make it look so easy, when it patently is not.

May I ask if the R8 runs the same viscous coupling for the awd as Bob Helms LP570?

cheers,

john
