Funny! I got mine last summer planning to keep it just for one driving season… but my wife loved it so much that she claimed it as hers. Now, I cannot sell it without risking divorce. Plus I love the car too, so I just borrow her GT4 from time to time… Here is a photo I took a few days back - the crest after rain

Like every other Ferrari 2+2, the 612 will depreciate until it is 20+ years old. Only exceptions would be a Sessanta or a manual car – which may depreciate slower from here on. Anything else would be surprising. And if you have not already driven one, give it a try – you will find it to be a very genteel driving car – it really is the gentleman’s Ferrari. By comparison, an FF drives much more aggressive and sporty.

Interesting how many GT4s are on Lambpower. Its a tremendously enjoyable car - congrats and happy birthday!!

very true! makes it more fun on street. Same beautiful color as mine, and good that you got the carbon brakes. I wish I had gotten PCCBs but my cheapskateness got the better of me!! Congrats on the car!

Happy to elaborate. My comments are an educated guess based on the following From the video...the significantly higher cornering speed of the SV compared to the 918 points to a significant tire advantage. No specific disclosure from Lamborghini or Pirelli as to the tires on the Nordshleife SV. Given the SV time's publicity, I can't imagine Pirelli especially would pass on that opportunity if it were a production street legal tire. From my couple of hours of track time in the 918 and standard Aventador - big difference in track performance. Given the 7:25 time of standard Aventador, I would guess 7:10 to 7:15 for the SV on street tires. With all that said, the SV's time, even if not on street legal tires, is no joke. Ferrari's track only 599XX managed only 6:58 on slicks. The SV is the most exciting and desirable car around 500k. An absolute monster and there is nothing else in the world quite as exciting without spending 2x or 3x.

The 918 record will be broken someday, but not by the Aventador SV The Nordschleife SV was not running street legal tires. On street tires, SV would be 7:10+.

There is no comparison between the 2 cars. Keep the LP640 BTW, I own a GT4.

Yes, GT4 is more enjoyable but of course not as exciting as a CGT. When I get in the CGT and start up the engine, my chest tightens and I am "on" before I even drive off. One wrong move with that car, and it will kill you - it is the most intense car I have driven, and an absolute masterpiece. There will never be another car like it. But enjoyable only when I am in the mood for it. The GT4 is enjoyable almost any time and has none of the intimidation factor. The GT4 is a fine wine, the CGT is 80 proof moonshine, and the 918 is a synthetic designer drug...

Some more thoughts on the GT4... First the bad, - Some modern features - hate the electric parking brake, stereo turns itself on like its haunted. - Emissions compliance stuff - not that smooth between 2000 and 3000 rpm, as car is tuned for emissions instead of driveability in that rpm range. Also, forgets Sport and Exhaust settings at every startup. - gearing too long in 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Third is good for 105 or 110 mph Now, the good - fantastic gear shift - feels great and lever is positioned perfectly - sounds. Exhaust sounds great with perfect but not overdone pops and crackles. Also, just the right amount of gear whine makes it sound like a mini Carrera GT - power is the perfect amount. Enough to get in trouble, but not so much that trouble is inevitable. - Carbon bucket seats are perfect - feel great and look fantastic - Looks absolutely gorgeous in sapphire blue metallic Am enjoying the car so much that I driven it 1000 miles in 2 weeks. More enjoyable to drive than any car including 918/CGT/911 Turbo/GT3/GT3RS, and any modern production Ferrari or Lamborghini (!!). Overall, I absolutely love the car.

I'm not big on internet forums, but enjoy reading this one and would like to buy a Lamborghini at some point. Don't know about Cayman R, but compared to 911 GT models...GT4 is not as sharp/racey as a GT3 RS or even a GT3, but a *lot more fun*. I prefer the GT4 to any 911. Most fun of any current Porsche!

Handles like a go kart, and fantastic gear shift - weighting and throws are perfect. Sounds great with just the right amount of gear whine and a nice exhaust that is not too noisy. The engine is nice and torquey but not overpowered like the 500-600+ hp modern supercars - the 385 hp is the perfect amount. Most enjoyable Porsche ever made - and I have driven most of the late model ones. I put 500 miles on mine in 3 days!

Please PM me the price. Thank you - Jon

SLS is at MSRP over here, Boston area. About a month ago, a local dealer had a new one for around $186K with almost no options, and no markup. I don't know about test drives - but a few phone calls around the country will probably get you a car at MSRP.
