  1. You might have bought my friend's murci if u got it from CA. There are not many yellow 04 manual murci in the US. i have exactly the same car as urs. Mine is 04 yellow and manual too. we went for a drive 2-3 years ago and the long hose of his murci burst. It was a scary scene, smoke all over the engine but luckily it didn't cause a fire. The shorter return hose of my murci burst 3 years ago too. So im thinking of changing the lose hose asap. If ur car is indeed my friend's former murci then urs is already a new hose.
  2. Thanks for the writeup, mine is also not working and i'll fix it soon.
  3. It's part no 6 in the picture. That's the part that's causing all the problem. The rest, 4,5 and 7 can be reused. i hope this helps. MURCIELAGO_TECHNICAL_DOCUMENTATION.pdf MURCIELAGO_TECHNICAL_DOCUMENTATION2.pdf
  4. I had mine fixed 2 months ago. I bought the whole set of the OEM locking mechanism (3 pcs) for ~220 from the dealer and they wanted at least 500 labor for it so i decided to fix it myself. In reality you only need the bottom part of the mechanism. The top part can be reused. The bottom part has a metal clip that hold the locking mechanism in place and it can be reused too so dont waste your money. I think if you buy the bottom locking mechanism only it's something like 90 from the dealer and it's a very small part, ~1.5" long. The harder part is to change it because the metal clip is super tight and it took me a good 2 hrs to unclip and reinstall. Give Glen at AMH a call and i'm sure he knows exactly which part you'll need. I'm not sure if i still have the old part with me. if i do i'll send you the pic so that u know exactly what to buy.
  5. Thanks for the info, really appreciate it. I'll show this info to my lambo tech then.
  6. It won't read the ECU of the car. i was told if ECU couldnt be read then they couldnt tell what was wrong with the suspension system. I'm sure my ECU is working properly, my car drives just find, no CEL.
  7. Guys, i need some help here. the "error" light of the suspension system is blinking and so I took my Murci to the dealer to have them find out what went wrong. They told me the factory scan tool couldn't read the ECU so they recommended to change the whole ECU, which could be $$$. So i did some research and found out that aftermarket radio might cause the problem. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/aftermarket-radio.html i have aftermarket radio and MS racing exhaust mod. SP engineering did the exhaust mod and i think they told me before that they did not touch the ECU. So, anybody had this problem before? Also, the suspension system error light, what could possibly cause this? bad suspension control valve/module? BTW i have an 04 Murci, formerly owned by Rakjoe.
  8. I'm the new owner of the murci and i think i should chime in as well. rant ON below is my review for Maxrpm at yelp but i think maxrpm probably paid yelp to have my review removed. "i had a pre-purchase inspection done (lamborghini murcielago) here and i'm totally not happy with them. This company was recommended by the car seller. My biggest mistake is to trust the seller because the owner of max rpm, Alex, is a friend of the seller so he'd do whatever he could to help hide all the defects. According to Alex, the car is as good as it can be and there was no problem at all, except for some minor scratches at the front bumper and the remote control cannot lock the door. So when i received car, i couldnt believe what i saw!!! The front bumper was badly scraped, with cracks all across the bottom. The carbon fiber was delaminated. both the side skirts have different color and you can clearly see that they were repainted. This was not noted in the inspection. Also, the roof has lots of dings and again nothing was mentioned about this. The third brake light was not working, the passenger side brake light was acting weird and the turn signal was not working properly. When the right turn signal is on, there was error light on the instrument cluster as well, and the turn signal light stop blinking. As for the door lock, even the key couldnt lock the door and Alex didnt even bother to test it. The oil cap cannot be locked as well. In the inspection sheet, it was stated that the clutch life has 80% left. When i emailed Alex asking for more info, eg, how did he measure the clutch life, there was no response. this clearly means that he's lying. What he did was took a coulple of pictures, fill up an "inspection form" and send those to me. Basically i paid $400 for a couple of pictures and a form with fake info. So stay away from this place!!!! spend your money somewhere else." i actually tried to contact maxrpm to resolve this issue peacefully but the owner of maxrpm did not even bother to call back. countless emails were sent and no reply. on the other hand, the seller already knew all these problems and below are the links to some threads he started. In his for sale listing, none of the problems were disclosed, and i inherited all of them: 1) link to to the car sale listing: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...c=66000&hl= 2) door lock and gas cap problem: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...c=59712&hl= 3) headlight and instrument cluster issues: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...c=63444&hl= 4) fueling problem: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...c=64825&hl= i ended up spending shitload of $$$$ to have those problems fixed. So who can i blame? yes, that idiot i see in the mirror who didn;t do his homework prior to making the decision. rant OFF
  9. sorry to hear this. i had a bad experience with a transport company too but mine is nothing compared to yours. NTA Motorsports shipped my murci 2 months ago from Seattle to SF bay area. The trucker, Nick Bradshaw, scratched the wheel of my murci. He said he'd pay for the repair but he never replied to my emails/calls. So stay away from NTA Motorsports and the transport broker, Gold Point.
  10. here you go: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...&hl=battery I just changed my battery and i used interstate MTP-91. not perfect fit but good enough. It's $130 from wheel works.
  11. i tried, there are not many lambo dealers in the SF bay area but i'm not going to name which dealer i called. Anyways, the service manager was not very responsive..... i waited for at least 2 weeks, emailed, left voicemail etc but they did not bother to give me a quote.... at the end because i really had to register the car and i needed the smog check done, so i went with Roselli. Personally i think 500 for labor to have the primary cats installed is VERY reasonable. I know there is another indy lambo shop, driven exotics, down at Gilroy but it's kinda far for me. Roselli is quite well-known for ferrari owners at ferrarichat and i've heard a lot of good things about them from ferrari owners. However, over here at the lambo community, i could not find any info about them at all. So i'm sharing this info with fellow lp members here for the the facts that they are honest, very professional and the service is top-notch.
  12. i'm not affiliated with them and i just want to share my experience with fellow lp members from SF bay area. I bought my murci not too long ago and it didnt come with the primary cats. so i bought a pair of used primary cats and made some phone calls around to get quotes to have them installed. Roberto, the owner of Roselli, quoted me $500 for the labor (4 hrs job, $125/hr) so i went ahead and let them do it. When i dropped off my car at roselli, i found out that it was leaking oil at the front, right between the front wheels. It was pretty bad leak and i can see oil gushing out and it really messed up their parking lot. Roberto came out and checked on the car and he was sure that it was the power steering fluid, judging by the color and the smell of the fluid. So i left my car there since it might be unsafe to drive the car. Roberto promised to call me the next day and let me know what was really going on. The next morning, he called me as promised and told me that "the high pressure hose" exploded. fixing it will cost less than 100 for the part and with labor it'll be at most 500. I was relieved to hear that, because it could be a lot worse. I picked up my car a week later and i was really happy with their top-notch service. Roberto is very professional and honest. I was told that swapping out the straight pipes with the primary cats was NOT easy and it took them ~6 hrs to get it done. But since he already quoted me 500, he'd only charge me the price he quoted. As for the power steering hose, he could have charged me a lot more for it too and i ended up paying only ~480 for both parts and labor. i also asked them to install the third brake light for me and the labor charge for that was only $30!!! (I know the lambo dealer would charge at least 100-200 just to change it). So overall i only paid ~1k for some pretty major services, which is VERY reasonable for an exotic car. BTW, their lambo mechanic, Don, is from los gatos lambo, he just joined Roselli not too long ago and they'll set up a "lambo service department". i watched Don work on my car when he swapped out the primary cats and he was very careful with my car. Also, he is very knowledgeable and he told me that he worked on bugatti too at los gatos lambo (they are also authorized dealer for bugatti). In addition, Roberto told me that they'll be getting the "factory computer" soon and they can do the complete lambo service, including reprogramming a new key. and the labor charge for a new clutch job for a murci is $3500, which i think is very reasonable too. anyways, just trying to give fellow lp members more options and i hope this helps. This is their website: http://www.rosellifcr.com/
  13. i watched the owner's interview on youtube. impressive success story.
  14. Charlie has a murci cover for sale. you can send him a pm. i didn't buy his because he doesn't have the carrying bag.
