Rouleur Report post Posted March 30, 2011 Absolutely great car. I hate the Quattroporte but I love that car. I have done several hours of seat time in one and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am pretty sure though, for a non S car, you can buy a new one for not much more than that. I am pretty sure I could get a 2010 car for not much more. You will not go wrong with it though, you will both love it. Intoxicating sound, great ride, sharp handling... And it has two relatively full sized rear seats with a decent sized trunk. Congrats on the purchase when you make it!

ExoticCarSearch Report post Posted March 30, 2011 If you go with the "S" model in 2009 you will receive the updated engine(4.7 instead of 4.2 liter) and also a real F-1 tranny instead of the old automatic. For 2010 and 2011 model those changes are standard equipment.

For 2010 and 2011 model those changes are standard equipment. They got rid of the F-1 on the '10 cars and went with the auto box on all of them. The automatic is a Getrag box, it is slick as fook. The F-1 clutch is good for 20k miles and it is cooked. They did do a couple of the MC Shift cars for 09 on the GTS if you want the F-1 Trans. Also, if you get a 4.7, the biggest upgrade for me along with the exhaust note is the big brakes. They don't offer the 4.2L motor anymore either I believe, so the 09 with the little engine is obsolete.
