lambornima Report post Posted September 14, 2016 They have a non-Zoh6 POS quicker than a 570S and a Camaro quicker than an R8 V10 Plus...smells like pure fish
RedGTS Report post Posted September 14, 2016 A lot of the R8's problem is tires, as they mentioned how greasy the PZeros were compared to the R compound tires on several of the other cars. But that said, the Chevys (both the Grandsport and the Camaro SS) are terrific handling cars, so I don't question the numbers, other than to note that different types of tires do make a significant difference for the cars that were on true street tires like PZeros or PSS's etc. The American cars are really tremendous bangs for the handling buck, but obviously there are some other tradeoffs at such low price points. Snakebitten Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Interesting article. Some of the times run are way off some of the cars best efforts at VIR but a decent read. Not sure I believe the GS POS is as fast as a GT3 RS. On Laguna the GT3 RS was just a 10th or so off the mighty Plastic mess-06 with Z07 package so not sure how the much less powerful GS can tie the GT3 RS on a track like VIR that's longer and suits power more than Laguna Seca. I think race driver mod is needed for the LL now C&D. Not surprised the ACR won but it was way under-driven by 4 secs given the time they published but it still covered the others easily. Very disappointed in the R8 but was pleasantly surprised by the NSX, Alfa 4C and the Caddy's. Wow those Caddy's are bringing it to the German super sedans at least performance-wise.
